No surprise in that answer, I think you would rather have a cardboard cut out than Ludvig!!!

Who Is The Best Pl Number One Ever?
diamond@heart replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Could not agree more, have not seen a better rider since Joe Owen. Nicki Pedersen, Bjarne, Craig Watson and Carl Stonehewer to name a few have entertained, but I don't think any of them come close. Just my opinion. Matej Zagar - really, how can you include him, he was frightened to travel north of the Watford Gap!!!! -
I see Danny King has signed for Ipswich, good luck to him for next year. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.27796

Nice team but I would switch Kerr, Blackburn and Tom Owen for Nicki P, Rod Hunter and Kenni L. Sadly no place in my team for Robbie Foy!!!!!

Beaton and Emerson!!

Scunthorpe Vs Newcastle 27/06/14

I see according to updates Klindt was stuck on M18, judging by the Diamonds performance so were most of them. Never looked like we got into the meeting. -
Nicki Pedersen. Mbe ?

I bet no witch hunt appeared on here for that incident. Mind you I bet most of the Pedersen haters will still find a way to blame him for it. -

Its now pi$$ING down in Newcastle. -
I believe Rose had a practice on Wednesday and appeared to come through it OK judging by pics on Twitter and probably included in the match tonight against Brummies?. No Mills I believe after he suffered concussion on Sunday and probably no Schramm and a pick of the crop for King as he has highest PL average I believe. Only other match on Sunday is James Grieves Testimonial, so step forward Craig Cook or Richard Lawson??? I believe Berwick are considering changes according to the Berwick 2014 thread, not sure if it will be in time for Sunday. Could be a close one this one but hoping we can get back to winning ways.

I hope the weather forecast improves for this one as the way it is looking at the moment it maybe highly unlikely it going ahead and if it does, probably won't be a classic. -
Newcastle Vs Edinburgh {1.6.14 At 6.30}
diamond@heart replied to HadrianDog's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I totally disagree and think Ludvig is a great team rider and team man, he may not be the most consistent but is entertaining to watch and always gives 100%. I also think as mentioned his team riding skills are great, just watch his ride with Mills on Sunday to get 5-1, he was constantly looking over his shoulder keeping one eye on the opposition and one eye on his partner. I do agree that certain people appear to be out to get him. Henry is a good rider and should not have been dropped but he is more of a gate and go than Ludvig and was appalling at passing from the back and a number of years ago would not entertain the concept of team riding a lesser rider home, and is still guilty of this now. One thing about Henry is that usually after about 1-2 laps, the position he was in at that point is often the position he finished in and I very really saw him busting a gut and chasing down a rider like you often see Robbo, Kerr and Ludvig do. As you say we are all entitled to our opinion. -

diamond@heart replied to HadrianDog's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yes but Robbo and Kerr are a well established partnership (our best partnership) and I think splitting them up would be a step backwards for the team. Ludvig is not a great number 5 but it allows him to ride his own race, if his partner out gates him Ludvig will always try and team ride him home but generally I think he likes to gate and go or be able to chase (we just need to give him a track to do it). I still think one of the main issues is the track, still does not seem to be enough dirt on the outside for Robbo and especially Ludvig. Good performance on Sunday, better than I thought, just a shame about the result, bit of over riding by some, but you can't fault them for trying. On a separate note: I think Cookie is a class act and enjoy his visits to Brough, I personally think he is too good for this league but think his inclusion only makes the league better and stronger. -

With the successful training school you are running Dave, I've heard George is going for a middle order rider with a lot of experience under his belt. Better dust off those kevlars, your team needs you!!!! -

If that is the case that is 17/7/14, by which time, wtf is the point in making changes. We will be well out of all competitions if the team continues in the same vein. I can only assume that changes made were based around getting Lambert, but what I don't understand is why did we not submit the proposed new team and when it was rejected just not go ahead with it, nobody would have been any the wiser and the promotion would have just had to apologies to DK and say we can't fit him in, he's a big lad, I'm sure he would have gotten over it. We have now dropped ourselves right in it and I can't see anyway out of it. WE are now expecting a lot from Schramm and Rose and practically expecting King to get 13-15 points a meeting. Also I spotted this on the Diamonds report from last night: The bright spark on a dismal night was the debut from new boy Danny King who soon proved that he aims to live up to his new nickname, the King of Diamonds when he took two fine wins and ac couple of seconds to hit double figures. I fail to see how his performance was a bright spark, or is that just me. I like Danny and I think he will do a great job for us and entertain home and away fans but to call his performance last night a bright spark, REALLY!!! I agree with everyone that changes had to be made but I think we have done more harm than good with these changes. One more thing that we have to sort out is the teams performance after the intervals. Whether we are 2 points up down or in the middle we completely fall apart after the interval. We seem to be fine, Jonny grades the track in the interval and we can't cope, can I make a suggestion, if the track is OK and we are beating the opposition, don't grade the track. Rant over. (prepares to be shot down) PS. On another note, I hope that Rose is OK and is not sidelined for too long. PPS. It pains me to say it but congrats to Redcar, you were the better team and fully deserved the win and I hope you kick on from this victory. -

Just looked at the photos on Facebook and the air fence and track look amazing, don't think I have seen it look as good in a long time. Well Done to everyone who has helped from one very grateful fan, it is the hard work you guys put in that goes a long way to enable the Diamonds to race week in week out. I wish I could help out but just don't have the time. Really looking forward to this Sunday for the practice and then the following Sunday for the 1st match of the season. Bring it on. -

Yeah totally agree about the meeting, I think we needed two 5-1's and a 4-2 in the last 3 heats and managed to pull it off. I remember the Bodger crash as well, very very sad incident, I was on my hols at the time in Lanzarote and read it in the papers. What spent a couple of years at Middlesbrough and thought f**k this and retired and went to live back in Aus!!! Totally agree that he saw sense. -

I would have Christian, not sure about Ludvig, when he is onit he is one of the best riders to watch, he just seems to every year have that low patch when he can't buy a point/big score and for that I did not include him.
