  1. James, your 'thirdly' is absolutely nail on the head if you pardon the pun. Sadly.
  2. There is nothing better in speedway than watching riders progress. One year Todd Wiltshire was winning an individual at Glasgow and the next year finishing 3rd in the world. Most recently Max Fricke transforming from a 19 year old for the Monarchs into a Torun SGP winner. Next hope is Josh Pickering, absolutely stunning value for money. I'll miss it all. Edit. Todd may have finished 3rd at Glasgow. Definitely top 3.
  3. Apologies Hawk, I meant to quote you in my response.
  4. It looks like you and I are on a similar page. I agree with most of what you wrote and thank you for taking the time to do that rather than the emoji format. In the current climate I do not see a way for speedway to survive. Maybe part time but by then many tracks will have gone. Let's build paper thin and poor quality housing on this land. Time has expired on speedway in the UK. Which is why I posted. I genuinely hope everyone goes along to a few tracks in the next few weeks because not many tracks/teams, if any, will be around next season. My local team will only survive if others do the same. Our stadium is looked at every year for property development and if there are only a few teams to race against then the door will close, forever.
  5. You haven't been for 8 years. You raise many valid issues but it's too late. It's too late for opinions and it's too late for talk of 'evolve'. It's not happening and the sport is almost dead in the UK.
  6. Can you discuss what I posted? It's just a little up the page if you scroll you'll find it.
  7. Can you respond to what I posted rather than something completely random.
  8. Speedway does not have extortionate prices and it never has. In terms of your own lifestyle, earnings or priorities then YES Speedway does have extortionate prices and is bottom of the feeding barrel. It's a dying sport and it'll be gone very soon in GB unless there is a massive shift in peoples thoughts. All I read is moaning about the cost being too high, not value for money, 15 minutes of racing shouldn't cost blah blah, not enough passing, riders doubling up, guests, rider replacement, rain offs, poor track conditions, poor stadium conditions and the list is endless. Well guess what, Speedway is almost finished in the UK so enjoy it whilst you can. Everyone go as much as possible for the next few weeks as it won't be there next season.p
  9. And then let's take this to a more public forum and let you explain the costs of all speedway necessities along with William's own bills.
  10. Hey KJ. I maybe didn't word my point well. Kye doesn't seem to hold the line well at Armadale so far (apart from his superb ride v Charles Wright) and I'd like to see him hit the inside line more especially at the 1st and 2nd bend. But when he is behind he, in my opinion, rides the boards and it hasn't worked often at home. However with such a great track at Ashfield he looked very comfortable once he took the outside lines and. Loving his progression so far.
  11. Personally I thought today was a mix of misfortune and lack or awareness.
  12. Superb track without question. Provides lines inside and out and regularly produces great racing.
  13. You can still buy the stream. I think its £12.95 but well worth a purchase.
  14. Poor Willie. From an epic Friday night he then gated superbly and got himself into great positions then was picked off superbly by the Tigers.
  15. No, there was a lack of watering. Everyone who was there can vouch for this. There were ample opportunities. But it was a superb meeting and the track delivered with great riding. Maybe the best track in the UK (I like Scunthorpe and Redcar).
  16. I assumed, wrongly, that you and your wee pal were involved in the track prep in some way. I'm sorry for that assumption. I've been to Ashfield many times over the last 5 years and the dust has never been as bad as today. I suppose I have been lucky as you and your wee pal consider today to be fine.
  17. Thank you. If you had read what I had queried initially you'd have realised it was a genuine question. Now I realise you and your wee pal have no clue. If either of you work/volunteer for the Tigers then you messed up today. No big deal, it happens.
  18. Plenty opportunities for more water today. Your welcome.
  19. I am just a spectator and know zilch about tracks and watering and what goes into it all. My opinion was, as I previously mentioned, the watering was very poor. Can you let me know the challenges involved with watering etc.
  20. I was there and the track produced great racing so credit where it is due. However, there were many opportunities where water was not put on the track or not enough water was put on the track. With the facilities available, this was poor. Especially when the beautiful large water truck went round and forgot to let the water out for a lap. There was no smart watering today.
