Speedway needs to be a weekly occurrence. Whether that is a El match one week and nl the next (WOLVES/CRADLEY) then so be it. That's what fans want, a habit of going to the stadium week in week out. All teams could be at Pl league level but then if they run an "EL" match drop the reserves and add 2 "star" names. 2nd strings going to reserve. Or if they were a pl/nl club drop the top 2 and add 2 nl reserves. Would mean more riders needed and no doubling up but with the possible loss of teams (Swindon, Coventry, Leicester) that would counter that. Plus riders that do double up/down would still do that but for the same club. Points limit would have to be adjusted but as an example see below... Eg Ipswich Pl 1. King 2. Sarjaent 3. Covatti 4. Risager 5. Barker 6. Castagna 7. Greenwood If they went "El" team could look like... 1. Hampel 2. Covatti 3. King 4. Barker 5. Nicholls 6. Sarjaent 7. Risager

Kids for a quid inc free scoresheet( proper names though wink) and on reverse a rider poster... Different rider every week. 7 to collect , plus team photos. could take that to pits for autograph Then could "show and tell" gets other kids interested...

Have surely run out of excuses now! Far too much dirt on again, and gate and go stuff. But I don't understand it this new shale extra noisy? On the 1st and 2nd bends you could hear the steal shoes scraping on this new deep surface and the colour is a very light beigey/grey... 5 Witches race winners and only 6 passes all night, 2 of those in 1 heat! Losing 1-5 in heat 2 again! Greenwood and Castagna were not going to beat Worrall in heat 8 from the tapes so Sarjeant not being put off 15m in heat 8 says it all. Strange that King was in heat 15 when should have been Covatti... Risager only beat Bach, Garcia, Summers and Ayres for his points but when it mattered couldn't get a win in 14 against Bach who up until then had scored 2! Fair pay to Glasgow though they came and did their job. Good job the party on the 3rd bend (whole back straight stand closed) was in swing for most of the night! Blue balls anyone?
