  1. Will Cairns is doing fantastic for Poole. He came in on 2 and has already doubled that. It takes some 2pointers years to do that. I’ve not seen any actual Poole fan say they aren’t impressed with him, although I’ve seen a few too many say that they’ve seen Poole fans say that, strange! Pooles issue is Thompson is incredibly hit and miss, last year it was Thompsons form in the playoffs that probably sealed his return, he does seem to ride better the brighter the light shines so maybe we can expect that again, the other factor is Starke, yes he’s doing his job but as a fan it’s not riders like Starke that make me want to attend a meeting, it’s your triers like Foord Hagon and even Ritchings.
  2. I think that will be Zack’s undoing. Personally as much as I like him I wouldn’t sign him on a 7.59. Not enough scope in that average to improve. If it was under 7 I’d almost class him as a no brainer, but anything above would scare me off, but luckily I don’t pick the team
  3. Lawson Rowe and Zach should score you near 30 each week, that 4th rider would be so pivotal as it would need to be a rider who can consistently chip in with 5 or so points. then you’ve got the 3 young guns in Cairns Rushen and Bailey who 2 of which have spent all of this season being by far the best 2 riders in the NDL. let’s wait and see how watered down the league is this time!
  4. 4.15- 2.5% he’s entitled to takes him to a 4.05, which I’d say is a fair reflection of his early start to championship life, still meetings to go so tough to know for sure what final figures will look like, but I expect Cairns Lawson Rowe to be back, Rushen heavily rumoured and you’d always expect Zach to be back. Beau would be an exciting talent but no doubt every team in the league would probably take him
  5. Would Beau come in on a 4 or a 5? with Lawson who’s average will be above 9 Rowe will be around 8 and then Cairns who might be close to 4 Bailey also a 4/5 and Rushen on a 2. Would be an exciting start to the team building. I expect Zach to return as I don’t see him making the same step than Ben did. Lawson 9.2 Approx rowe 8 Approx cairns 4 Approx Bailey 4 or 5? Rushen 2 = 28ish would leave potentially 12 points for the final 2 spots, plenty of room to go big with a 8 pointer or strength in depth
  6. The only time they finished 1st and 2nd all night!
  7. 100% worthwhile, especially at the business end of the season where they have all the semis and finals (championship)
  8. Joe T is a able replacement for Edwards, he’s scored paid 6 and paid 7 from his 2 meetings at Poole this year already, if he does that then I’m sure that’s roughly what you’d expect from Edwards. If the Redcar big 3 can score big they could keep this close, but if Starke and Ritchings ride like they have been at home then the pirates should have enough to win and maybe sneak 50
  9. Good to see Anders at 5 again, I think he adds a lot more strength for Poole in heat 13. Also means Zach can go back to his more familiar number 4 role with Kerr at 3
  10. Yeah the Bears will need an able replacement for Edwards if they are to challenge for a win you’d think tomorrow night, although you would say if they use R/R at 2. Riss in heat 8 would be a clear favourite for the 3 points meaning the other 3 rides from Mulford and the reserves would all be against Thompson and Lawson. personally I’d say it would be unlikely to get the 5-7 points you would say Edwards could achieve
  11. Yep possibly the best option, Barker not a bad one either. A few options and they certainly will want one
  12. Off the top of my head the only riders I can think to of got Boo’d at Poole are Basso, C Cook and Kasperzak. I’m sure there’s plenty more of course. In the 15/20 years I’ve been attending I can’t think of a single time a pirate has been on the receiving end of boos
  13. I do agree but maybe it was a case of the pirates wanting to stay focused and not get ahead of themselves, it was a close meeting throughout and bar a few good heat wins, it was the minor places that Poole were winning that were the match winning moments. I imagine Kerr did come round after winning heat 14?
  14. Hopefully a big confident boosting win for the pirates, Kerr and Starke improved as did Thompson, Edwards did what you’d of expected from Cook. hopefully they take their form into tomorrow
