I’m almost certain Lawson will be back at Poole. His average is lower than it was last season, he’s capable of being near unbeatable at Poole. And let’s hope he shows that in the playoffs
-
Beau certainly wouldn’t be short of options should he choose to do champ. Hopefully already snapped up by Poole, and then Lawson Cairns Rushen also, and then see what’s left. Would have Slater back on a 4. Would love Kyle back but his average doesn’t have great value. Kerr I’m not sure id want at 5, he’s always steady points but rarely does anything in ht15 if selected. i also wonder if Brennan would consider doing Championship again after a tough season everywhere for him, wouldn’t necessarily be a step backwards but more of a reset and to enjoy speedway again, do what Zach has done which is find form and confidence and then miss meetings when needed. I’m sure the Fords would be ok with that.
-
If Beau signs, would he be a 5? Lawson Beau Will Cooper Lewi Slater leaves an awkward 4.3 for the final rider, Newman Jenkins Kennet all too high. i like Lewi but not sure about him being at 5. I’d look to have Klindt, Ellis or King at 5, and then Southwick or a different lower average 7. Lawson and another great rider at 5 would take the pressure of a young rest of the team.

Barker says Harris stamped on him. Which I kinda think the video backs up, be interesting if anything happens
-
My bad. I thought they mathematically had a chance if they got the bonus point, plus the chance at 3 points this evening. Unlikely of course
-
I wasn’t there. But having seen the video Harris did purposely hit Barker with his bike (I think that’s clear to see). Whether he meant it to knock Barker of his bike I do not know but the fact is he did hit barker off his bike. Whether Harris stamped on him I can’t be 100% sure. It looks like he did but I can’t be sure. for me, the swinging the bike at him and the words can be classed as handbags and all ok. If he has stamped on him then I think there needs to be some sort of repercussion. as ultimately a fine doesn’t really affect him unless it was a substantial amount, which I doubt. Harris went on knock Plymouth out of any playoffs hopes and cost Plymouth and their riders a fair whack of money

Happened when he was a pirate a few years back. I remember him winning races for fun, passing Masters at Poole, he did similar to Cooper in that his average went from 2 to a mid 5. But then come the business end he was at number 2 and barely scored a point. A shame as there’s a good rider in there but he’s certainly struggling to show it

Glasgow Tigers Vs Poole Pirates 21st August
ASpeedwayfan replied to Bitza's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Possibly the toughest meeting to predict. I’ll go 45-45 or even a narrow Glasgow win. Poole will be more than happy with the bonus point I’m sure -
Around Poole I’d agree with Cairns, I think you could make a case for any team, Pickering capable of going unbeaten, it’s just whether Harrison can back him up
-
A strong line up announced for the pairs, with Lawson and Zach we and being at home we are certainly favourites but every team has chance with it all coming down to a one of heat
-
If Dan T is not getting rides in for his polish team then I’d expect that to be the same for Cooper and Will? Other than the fact that Cooper and Will can ride in the U24 league. I’d hope that Cooper and Will would see that riding in the championship offers them bike time which at this stage is the most important thing. Look at Brennan for instance, he’s perhaps contemplating coming back to the champ next season to find some mojo. for the young boys, there will certainly be a time where it’s the prem, Poland and then all the Qualifiers for GPs etc. but for now they need to be on the bike. And I’m sure Poole will settle for them missing a handful of meetings across the season, like Zach has this season
-
Time will tell, both should do everything in their power to do both leagues in Britain and then poland. cairns and Rushen at 3/4 for Poole next season
-
Yeah he certainly doesn’t enjoy the Poole track. Always moans about it even if the rest of his team says it’s in an alright state.
-
I would think 5. But I also thought Slater would’ve been a 5 and he was a 4 Lawson Cairns Rushen Slater Beau Kennet Jenkins would be solid through out but potentially light in H13/15 I always like having a big 1/5 like they’ve done the last few years, so wouldn’t mind a Danny King? And then maybe young Southwick at reserve
-
It’ll be the usual. 2 leagues. 7 riders. Just the smaller details of points limit and the silly 1 over 8 rule
-
You’re right. I meant for him to get his accurate GSA, which is 3H3A is it? I always forget as I feel like it changes every 5 minutes. judging on how he looked today. Would be one of the first names on my team sheet if on a 4 next year
