  1. Would be, but Bowtell rides for Mildenhall not Kent. Morley is the Kent No.1
  2. Expect a home win, but have Kent done enough for the aggregate point?
  3. Unbelievable from the SCB. Which rule says you get 8% off your average for every year out after a drugs ban? If you need your average reducing, then you know what to do now kids.
  4. Any thoughts on Berwick kicking out a youngster to sign a 36-year-old ex-Elite League rider who was banned for 2 years for failing to take a drugs test?
  5. The Stable Gate. About 3 miles away. Straight down Hyde Road to Denton Island. It's off the roundabout next door to the Premier Inn.
  6. As Boughen was actually at the track, and apparently did the track walk before throwing his toys and leaving, I'm guessing the SCB are making the point that they think the club should have done more to control the rider, and talk sense in to him, to stop him leaving. I wasn't there and I have no idea which members of the Leicester management were there, and how much effort they made to stop the rider leaving, but I know the referee was very involoved and the fine will have been based on whatever he put in his report.
  7. Think you're underestimating the strength of Workington. Luke Harrison will be fine fitness-wise, and is a class act. The R/R will be solid with a ride for Pijper, 2 rides for Harrison, and a ride for H McGurk and will produce a lot more points than the single point from Kelly in the Mildenhall home loss. Kelly has crashed a couple of times at reserve, and as you say riding top 5 is harder. Conversely riding at reserve is easier, and H McGurk has been a consistent, solid 7-8 .point heat leader in the last few seasons. The move to Workington has been a disaster so far, but you don't become a bad rider overnight. Moving to reserve could see him making hay. This could be the comeback meeting. Dan Thompson is the NL No.1 man. The Leicester side is built around big double figures from the twins. Roynon is capable of a big score, but as we saw last Saturday, it's not easy to replace the league No.1, so Leicester are much weakened. I'm not so worried about the Ward for Foord replacement. Foord is another erratic type who could crash out as easily as score points. Ward will have a go and pick up any gift points without pulling up too many trees.
  8. Don't worry about being clueless. You'll soon pick it up.
  9. Callum Foy is the A.R. but wouldn't expect him to get a ride. Extra R/R rides for Pijper, Harrison, and H McGurk make Workington massively stronger than if Kelly was riding. Leicester are weakened by the loss of D Thompson, and have a pretty much like-for-like with Kai Ward in for injured Vinnie Foord. That means this will be a very comfortable home win.
  10. But he comes out of the team on 4.46 today, and then drops to 3.00 tomorrow. So he can be an AR for anyone.
  11. The truth is what the facts are. Plenty of people have seen Collins' letters
  12. Erm no. An Additional rider is if you are running Rider Replacement.
  13. Well obviously the redeclaration to fit Clegg in must be done at some point before 9 June, so 14 days after will be 23 June at the latest. Seems the fiddle can be done in time for the Leicester meeting. Pretty sure it used to be the case that someone removed from a 1-7 could not be reintroduced the same season, to prevent this sort of fiddle. Not sure how you think Simpson could be an AR for Edinburgh. None of the top 5 are injured, so I don't see any benefit in leaving one of them out.
  14. Simpson drops to 3.00 from 9 June. Parker could be in for 14 days until they kick him out and reinstate Simpson. (Unless Simpson goes somewhere closer to home... )
  15. They had to replace Bickley. They didn't have to kick Simpson out. It was their choice to kick a kid out and bring another Dad's Army member in.
  16. Thought Armadale Devils had changed their name to Edinburgh Monarchs Academy as they wanted to develop young riders? Shocking that they've kicked a young kid out, so that they can build Dad's Army with Roynon, Clegg and Wood.
  17. Roynon a more than adequate replacement. Currently averaging 10.33 from 3 matches against Dan Thompson's 9.60 from a similar 3 matches. Can't see anyone getting close to Leicester at home. 55-35
  18. Sad but true. If they lose the appeal they can go back and keep resubmitting slightly different plans, and in the meantime some more of the stadium "accidentally" gets set on fire. But while there is still hope we've got to keep fighting. And with that in mind I see the letter suggests that comments can be made on the planning portal. So I'm wondering can someone from the Save Coventry Stadium group advise if there are any comments that an ordinary fan could make on the portal that would be helpful? Or are we beyond that stage?
  19. Will Jacob Hook be allowed to continue riding in the NDL now that he's lost his Championship place? I don't know how visas and permits work, but don't you have to have a professional job paying a guaranteed amount of money per week to be allowed to stay in the country? Now that he's lost his professional source of income will he be allowed to continue NDL or will immigration tell him to sling his proverbial?
  20. Don't think it will be that great a test. Don't see many teams coming away from Northside with a close result. Even if Harry McGurk rides and continues his poor run, I still see Workington topping 50 points quite easily. Complin and Trigger will put up a fight though. I'll go for 53-37
  21. Both teams at full strength with Connor King returning from a concussion suspension. Thoughts? I'll go 56-34
  22. Third v Second in the league as unbeaten Mildenhall with 5 wins out of 5 travel to Manchester. Track specialist Sam McGurk guests for Lee Complin. Thoughts?
  23. Not a chance. Oxford top 5 are very strong. Especially at home. 54-36
  24. Not sure how missing your No.1 gives you a boost. . Complin is a decent choice of guest, but not as good as having Bailey as Comets own No.1. Maybe missing Bailey gives Berwick a boost, but I still think Workington should have enough to win this one
