  1. The move to Ipswich will do Ellis good. He can't do any worse than last year and his average can only go up.
  2. He hasn't been charged with manslaughter. He was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
  3. And when asked whether there would be any news in the announcement, the Councillor said "None as yet. It will be a request for help."
  4. There's been tests at more than 5 meetings but we don't hear about them. The only thing the SCB have said is that there were 2 meetings in August tested (Belle Vue v Workington and Poole v Birmingham) and all 8 riders were negative. If they only do 2 meetings every month (April - October) and got 3 positives, that's only 6.25% positive. To get to "over 30%" you must only be counting the 2 meetings which produced positive tests (the one with Morris, and the one with Worrall/Boxall). If they were the only 2 meetings tested then it would be 37.5% positive. But we know those weren't the only meetings tested.
  5. The councillor woman now says there is no news announcement, it's more a request for help.
  6. Where on earth are you getting that from? If 30% of tests were positive that would be nearly one out of every three. Where and who are all the other positive tests then?
  7. When Leicester lost at Peterborough on 7 September, their Premiership season was over. No more Premiership meetings. When Leicester Cubs won at Belle Vue on 8 September and defeated Workington at home on 9 September it meant Belle Vue could no longer make the NDL play-off, so the final would be Leicester v Oxford. From that point (9 September) Leicester had to run a play-off final.... 1 meeting.... 52 days to do it in... over 7 weeks..... nearly 2 months of a 7 month season left.... How the hell did they fail?
  8. If I wanted someone to put 2 points on their average around NSS I'd be looking at Palm-Toft on 5.13 before Eliis.
  9. and Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, and Grub.
  10. Erm, this entire thread is about Phil Morris's evidence to the Coventry Stadium inquiry in which he said it was likely that a new track completely new to Speedway would be coming into the leagues next season. What on earth do you think we've been discussing for the last 4 pages?
  11. That was laying a new track in an existing stadium. That's doable in the time. But building from scratch like say Workington would be a tough ask between now and April.
  12. That would conflict with Phil Morris's statement that it's a completely new venue for speedway But I can't see something being built from scratch between now and April, so I'd guess there must be some existing stadium for other sport that just needs a track putting in.
  13. It was just like the film "The Magnificent 7" Richie Hawkins grew a silly moustache to look like Eli Wallach and plan a daring raid. And Sheffield hired 7 random mercenaries to do the fighting for the simple village folk.
  14. Freeman was riding as a guest for Greg Blair. His average is below Blair's so perfectly legal. Don't have to be in a 1-7 unless guesting at No1
  15. Interesting that in his evidence to the Coventry Stadium appeal enquiry, Phil Morris mentioned a new stadium "completely new to Speedway" potentially coming in next year. Anyone got any information?
  16. That was Ben Barker's case. Nothing to do with Boxall or Worrall.
  17. An employee of this company https://racoo.co.uk/
