Swindon Robins 2020

Fact is you got handed the title that year. It was the equivalent of someone giving out leaflets in some random Swindon shopping centre. -

Scrapped a 1 point with on aggregate when Wolverhampton were missing Freddie Lindgren & Jacob Thorssell. You would have got smashed if they rode. That's a fact. Chris Harris & R/R for Freddie Lindgren & Jacob Thorssell is what handed you the title rather than signing Tobiasz Musielak -

TheMessiahOfTheBSF replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not really. Even with the Musielak signing in 2017 didn't win you the title if you're going to be honest. Swindon only won the title because the Wolverhampton side suffered injury after injury to the point they were left with no heat leaders. Realistically you got handed the title in 2017. With reductions of 2.5%. Tail end will get ripped to shreds imo. No.7 has to be on a 3.00 or above. So 4.06 or 4.17 left (Possibly less) for a second string to ride with Doyle. Risky signing. Fans will be happy but from a business perspective it's a risky move. No chance of maintaining the 7.86 starting GSA and signing Rasumus also means the tail end of the team will be the weakest in the league. Original tail end back fired last year. You managed to strike gold by signing an in form Rasmus last year which turned things around. Wont happen again though. Cue the triggered replies. -

Pedersen & J. Holder riding together will be interesting. -

Was in a good run of form when he joined last year. Will be a different story over a full season imo. Still a good rider but no value on a 7.86. -

Thank god I was wrong. I didn't want Rasmus Jensen at all. He's got no chance of maintaining his starting average. -
Good luck.

I'm 95% sure we will line up with one of the following 1-7's 1. Rasmus Jensen 7.86 2. Hans Andersen 5.79 3. Michael Palm Toft 6.30 4. Chris Harris 6.00* 5. Rohan Tungate 6.59 6. Bradley Wilson-Dean 5.47 7. Ulrich Ostergaard 4.00 = 42.01 1. Rasmus Jensen 7.86 2. Hans Andersen 5.79 3. Chris Harris 6.00* 4. Thomas Jorgensen 5.90 5. Rohan Tungate 6.59 6. Agree but I think he will end up racing at No.1 for us. We're not in this league to compete. We're in this league to make up the numbers. -

Said a while back I can see Rasmus ending up at Peterborough. It's time to pencil him in I think. -

Good decision by the Robins' management. No value in Jensen's average. Yes he was outstanding last season but no way is he ready for the No.5 role. Troy was the safe bet. -

Decent signing as well if the rumour is true. Low average because Foxhall didn't suit him. Bomber is different gravy on a big fast track like Peterborough. -
Wolves win the race for Douglas. No doubt will keep 6 from last year with Nicholls replacing Howarth. I don't even need to see everyone else's line-ups. Wolverhampton are clear favourites if they do get the seven that's rumoured.

Hope the Thompson boys can relax and enjoy themselves in 2020. No pressure on them as the top 5 is smoking. Not going to see a stronger top 5 in the league imo. -
Peterborough Panthers 2020
TheMessiahOfTheBSF replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes they could. 1. Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 2. Brady Kurtz 7.54 3. Rohan Tungate 6.59 4. Chris Harris 6.00 5. Hans Andersen 5.79 8.83 left for the reserves -

I think it's a great signing for Sheffield. Fair enough Nicki isn't the same rider he once was but British Speedway is not as strong of a league as it once was either. He will do the business for them in 2020 imo. -

Very interesting lol. Simon Stead would have his work cut out for sure. My money is on Josh Grajczonek though. -

Who backs Nicki up is the question. Club favourite Josh Grajczonek? Brady Kurtz? or Jack Holder? -

I think we have two possible options and that's it tbh. Neither of them look inspiring. We will certainly end up with whoever gets dumped from Ipswich & King's Lynn. Pool of riders that will be available to us imo. HL's - (K. Bjerre, R. Tungate, B. Kurtz, J. Holder) 2nd strings (S. Worrall, C. Harris or R. Lawson, MPT or T. Jorgensen) Reserves (R. Wells, J. Garrity, T. Proctor, U. Ostergaard, B. Wilson-Dean, A. Summers) 1. Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 or Brady Kurtz 7.54 2. Rohan Tungate 6.59 3. Michael Palm Toft 6.30 4. Chris Harris 6.00 (2.5% Reduction) 5. Hans Andersen 5.79 6. Bradley Wilson-Dean 5.47 7. Ulrich Ostergaard 4.00 1. Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 2. Brady Kurtz 7.54 3. Chris Harris 6.00 (2.5% Reduction) 4. Thomas Jorgensen 5.90 5. Same. Unfortunately Ostergaard will be nailed on for 2020. Buster will use the fan popularity as an excuse to sign him on the cheap. -

If the rumour is true about Howarth signing then Leicester are going to be weak at reserve. 2 x 2.00 pointers. Looks like it's goodbye to Connor Mountain.
