Think it was to protect riders coming up from reserve who generally ride at 2. However where issue arises is where teams lined up with no.3 in averages at no.2. if protecting it should also mean no.2 has to be no.5 in averages

Oddly enough where I was most impressed with Dan was the infamous one heat meeting at Glasgow. He won that heat attacked the track and won in 61 seconds despite shutting off on last lap to avoid lapping the heat leaders!!! If everyone else had approached it same way would've had a full meeting

I'd probably put Leicester in same bracket as Plymouth. win plenty at home but be inconsistent on their travels, should be in and around the play offs but if one of the bottom 3 really kick on could be title challengers.

Is heat 8 still protected?

Would probably be more likely as 2/3 more home meetings as opposed to 1 each

Had a bit of an "out there" thought about this situation. German, Latvian and Russia have clubs who race in the polish lower leagues, why don't Britain do the same? Best youngsters getting experience of racing on the continent, more international riders would be seen on these shores in the return fixtures. Put clauses in contracts that if riders want to take up a place they must ride in the UK. No sure the logistics of it or whether polish authorities be game but going to need ideas to keep our best riders in the country

Yeah said it since November I'm not convinced he'll be back. And even if he goes where I expect him to go will have no issues with at as given the stripes his all. maybe just hasn't worked out as everyone hoped

Average far as I know. I'd prefer ulle back myself. Not sure Ellis can ride champ if riding Poland, Sweden, prem and potentially France as I've been advised he is already.

Totally agree, don't think his points were reflective of performance at ashfield this year. 3+1 in June, 4+2 guesting for us against Redcar, 3 in play off that could/should have been 6 but for 3rd bend issue and fell from no.2. was worth more in each match but with time on track at reserve expect him to at least maintain around the 5 average

By my amateurish and albeit dubious maths I got it under. Depends on the Eastbourne averages debate. Tom's average with removed I made 5.92, cookie, Tom, Connor and Hume all get the 2.5%. however, I'm sure someone (Mr Barrie) will tell me differently

Depends on make up of rest of team, with potential reductions for Eastbourne and british riders could go cookie, ulle/ Ellis, broc and a five pointer (basso ) and scrape just under I think. Or could go cookie, ulle and Ellis, broc/ 5 pointer and a 2 pointer. Personally prefer the top option
