  1. After seeing Jason Edwards a few times last season at Edinburgh and the U21 final at Berwick in 2020 i'd say that he's more than capable of upping his average to 5 points this season. Definitely one for the future.
  2. What system for team building would you choose to adopt if you were the manager of a team? Some teams like Glasgow have started their building from the bottom up (Bailey, Hume etc), some teams like Leicester opted for the top down approach (Morris, Worrall etc) whilst others such as Newcastle went for padding out the middle order first (Wethers, Starke, Clegg)? *Obviously i'm aware of factors such as rider availability and the fact that every manager will have a rough idea of the seven riders (and their averages) which he wishes to bring in before signings are even made.
  3. I don't remember Cradley complaining about having too many young riders in the early 80s...
  4. Good signings so far for the Glasgow Tigers. Who's next? Personally i think Kasper Andersen would be a great signing at number 3 and be impressive alongside Brennan (unless he's already committed to somewhere else that i'm not aware of) and would leave the Tigers with over 7 points for the last rider (Adam Ellis ?) *provided Cook re-signs of course 1 Cook 2 Basso 3 Andersen 4 Brennan 5 ? 6 Hume 7 Bailey
  5. How come the BSPA haven't acknowledged the Glasgow signings on their website?
  6. Leicester are the best looking team so far especially if Rowe comes in at 7. The management have done a good job on the recruitment front.
  7. Who would choose to be negative about a speedway team that almost didn't start the 2022 season?? We need as many teams as possible to make the entire sport a success.
  8. Will the 7th rider be Gappmaier or Jakobsen?
  9. I agree. Michael Lee in his prime was the most successful of the two but Kenny was the more natural rider imo. It was great watching them both though and i hope that British speedway continues to produce many more like them.
  10. GLASGOW TIGERS V POOLE PIRATES 4/06/21 ...D.Hume 1',1,0,1=3+1 To infinity and beyond!
  11. The Scots can peel an orange in their pockets
  12. I don't think it is a good signing. Hume isn't good around Ashfield and he blows hot and cold.
  13. i doubt that. His average is 5.01 and even after allowing for the reduction he will probably start off at number 2. Not many teams will have both reserves equating to at least 8 and a half points of their team total.
  14. I hope so. It'll be great to see the Brrrrrrrummies racing again next season.
  15. Probably not. I reckon he will ride off 2.
  16. Why is a pirates fan subscribed to the Glasgow YouTube channel?
  17. And it took a further 5 and a half months for them to finally achieve it? I can't imagine Sky Sports getting away with that - "Hey folks we'll show you tonight's live Premier league game between Manchester City and Chelsea next April..."
  18. It was an international event rather than a club one. I don't see why it can't have been uploaded earlier.
  19. Edinburgh fans waiting to hear about signings:
  20. Why has this taken five months to be uploaded to YouTube?
  21. Someone who gets up really early by the sounds of it.
