How about trying to entice Nick Morris along with another Pole to Armadale for 2026? 1 Dan Thompson 8.50 2 Another Polis(h) Rider (Not Polis) 6.00 3 Nick Morris 6.80 4 Kye Thomson 5.93 5 Justin Sedgmen 7.34 6 Hugh Kerrs (3.29) 7 Jordy Loftus 2.14 36.71

I understand but he wouldn't be in the main body for long, after six meetings he would be replaced by a more experienced Hodder at 2 if Hodder does indeed progress. Smith and Perry at 6 & 7 would be a good reserve paring imo.

Why not? Jenkin is on 4.84 GSA which will be reduced.

1 Chris Harris 8.98 2 Jack Smith 2.91 3 Drew Kemp 7.88 4 Leon Flint 7.20 5 Kyle Howarth 7.91 6 Freddy Hodder 2.63 7 Max Perry 2.45 39.93 The two reserves have plenty of scope to kick on this season and be better than last season when Freddy seemed to run out of steam and Max had a nasty accident which he was tentatively coming back from as the season ended. Paul Smith would be a bit out of his depth at number 2 but he's always good for a few points around Ashfield and is passionate about his speedway.

Bowtell and Jenkins would be better than Bowtell and Thomsen

Bigger crowds in speedway in general back then.

Plymouth were robbed again.

Brian Laudrup / Paul Gascoigne / Andy Goram / Richard Gough (on bike) / Walter Smith (manager) / Ian Durrant / Ally McCoist / Gordon Durie

Would Ashton Boughen be interested in resuming his speedway career at Armadale? He would just fit in at number 6 in this team
-
Apart from his u21 win at Ashfield Sam Hagon hasn't really made any progress, in fact he always underwhelms, especially around Ashfield. I really thought he'd have kicked on by now.

I've heard he's shortened his long name to He Bangs

Sam Masters - speedway rider by night, Deliveroo rider by day... I don't think so. And you make it sound like jobs are easy to walk into and riders can easily fit their speedway around them during the summer months

It would be significant. That's why the owners of Belle Vue haven't suggested merging the leagues and would never agree to it
-
Riders like Doyle and Woffinson recently claimed that it was a mistake to forgo British speedway as they thought it was beneficial to their GP chances which is why they came back. The top league is a lot better than the Championship in terms of standard which can clearly be seen at Belle Vue where they currently have Bewley and the World's number 2. I just don't think the top riders in the top league would be overjoyed at having to make a trip to Armadale on a Friday night. I also remember the last time they merged the leagues and it was dreadful and so many races were predictable. That's why it never lasted.

I think Glasgow may try to pinch Tate Z from Workington as his average is very enticing but I'm not sure what his or Workington's plans are for next season.

I would have gone with Nagel in the superheat because up until his engine failure he had been flying. I also feel that Howarth couldn't handle the pressure in those last two heats and a younger more fearless head might have been the better option. In the end Harris had given his all and had no more to give so it's all a moot point now.

What's with all the Scotland flags in the way to the stadium? It's been a couple of years since I left the car at home and walked through Possil but it doesn't resemble Scotland any more at all. I felt like an extra in Black Hawk Down. The demographics have massively changed and I definitely didn't recognise the place. I'll be going back to taking the car next year.

All the best sport stars in every discipline have huge egos. And that's not a bad thing. Does Christiano Ronaldo not shout a bit? I'm just glad to see both youngsters are coming along nicely and will probably be of premiership standard before they are out of their teens. British speedway needs more like them, not whiny fans like you constantly griping about kids.
