I suggested that team… but I just have a feeling that Oxford will need to leave Tungate out rather than Harris, to allow Woffinden to fit in along with Janowski

Exactly my thoughts

I think two big 9+ average big hitters is too much, makes the rest of the team too weak and too much “strength in depth” is also not great… if we could happen to get Tungate and Kvech at 1&5 and have a solid middle order then I think that would definitely be enough for top 4

Rob Lyon said that Div 2 just isn’t an option, King’s Lynn are a premiership team… plus Monday and Thursday race nights suit us

Peterborough went “strength in depth” with Chris Harris, Michael Palm Toft, Ulrich Ostegaard, Hans Andersen, Scott Nicholls & Bjarne Pedersen… and they ended up winning

So does everyone agree that the Stars team will feature 6 of these 9 riders (Tungate, Lawson, Kvech, Iversen, Klindt, Harris, Basso, B.Cook, Rowe) plus a rising star? Haha

I forgot about Tungate, that’s a good shout!! Oxford may have to leave him out if they want Woffi, Janowski and Harris

Rob Lyon said on the Stars podcast that we’ll be going “strength in depth” again in 2025 as there’s not any true number 1s that want to ride over here apart from Doyle, JHolder, Kurtz, Bewley etc. who are already tied down… So I think it will any 6 of these 8, plus a rising star… Lawson, Klindt, Becker, B.Cook, Iversen, Basso, Kvech, Harris (at least our number 6 reserve would be a rider that could easily do a good job at number 3 or 5) I’d happily put money on it! Haha
