  1. They don't anticipate any issues, but Sunday is he reserve date so the cancelled meeting would run Sunday. However, this is subject to the FIM decision, there are lots of variables such as if the meeting gets to heat 16 then the result would be called. They will do absolutely everything to make sure the meeting happens though.
  2. The interview with Phil was recorded around 9pm on Sunday night. as it stands at this moment 5.20pm Thursday, Kurtz & Doyle are down to ride, there has been no media briefing otherwise, however both are fitness question marks. Missing 2 GPs would be significant for both riders though so neither will want to pull out without giving it the maximum opportunity.
  3. One if the main differences is we live on an island, and as a result the weather is more volatile literally depending on which way the wind blows. The track material here is totally different, even riders say it is a different sport. Comparing Polish and British tracks is largely pointless as the type of material available is different here, they also use different tyres, and run bikes with tubeless tyres which we don’t. So the wheels they are racing on are different too.
  4. Firstly, I was not referring to any of your posts, it’s was the one which was claiming it will never happen. I have never said a return is imminent, just that maybe closer than we have been what with everything but a long way from imminent I’m not party to anything specific but I know things are going as well as they can at this stage, as has been detailed in press releases from the group and interviews which are in the public domain not least on the NBNF podcast with Jeff Davies. I know first hand what it is like to lose a club, I’m a Bradford fan so you don’t need to tell me about super domes and roofs. Even more frustrating is they have a shale track down and still no speedway but that’s another story. Should anyone wish to hear the interview with Jeff Davies it is in this episode here, it’s a few weeks old but nothing has happened in the meantime to make this update any different or less positive at this stage. https://pod.fo/e/2c96c6 So whilst not getting anyone’s hopes up but the to say it will never happen is equally wide of the mark. Let’s see, this is not just a petition, people are working to try and make this happen and they deserve our support. Many have supported it, we’ve spoken about it on BSN to help drive the campaign for public backing, and the support has been excellent. We all hope it has a good outcome, anybody can say it won’t. One of us will be right 😂🤷🏼‍♂️
  5. There has never been a bigger likelihood of speedway returning to Brandon than there is today, it may not fit the doom monger narrative but maybe give credit to those who haven’t rolled over and given up. Nobody is saying anything about a multi million restoration, it would be a basic version initially and a lot of the old buildings may have to go. But can speedway get back there, absolutely it can, let’s see… 👀
  6. The stock car bit is correct, the rest is complete and utter nonsense. There are a few rumours flying around at the moment and people ask me if this is true or that is true, aside Birmingham closing, which isn't a rumour, all of it is news even to the club owners themselves. Keep calm and carry on.
  7. If it gets awarded both Poole and Oxford will most likely be in the Semi Finals so it won’t.. Some clubs have fans, even promoters who are paramedics, this helps. But you can’t mess about with this stuff, if something bad happens you have to show you have the right facilities, if not frankly people will end up in jail, and if the right treatment isn’t available well you can think what the outcome can be. What other clubs do is their situation. Considering the proximity of Poole stadium to the hospital, would you spend 2.5 or 3 grand a night for an ambulance just in case?
  8. And the rest… Paramedics are the biggest cost besides the riders. There are also different levels of paramedic licensed to give certain medication etc, so it’s not just a case of having an ambulance.
  9. The meeting was about 8 minutes longer than the previous one at Workington, however we didn't eat the not just cakes but impressive buffet platter until the end. I had a small cake just before the start and was choking on a crumb between reading the teams out, bit of a hazard.
  10. I can tell you categorically that this idea will not be happening 😂
  11. The meeting ran fine, the delay was due to Dayle Wood needing the paramedics in the pits after his crash
  12. Can’t believe the amount of negativity on here from so called speedway fans. They have worked for 8 years to get to this point, there is no prospect of the land being developed, they already have the investors and therefore the funds needed to make the stadium usable again, they have a promoter, already licensed and with his own funds in Matt Ford. The council also support it, this is about speedway being a part of the official plan for Coventry for the coming years. All future developments have to go on this plan, speedway or otherwise, the restoration of Brandon Stadium gets in this list then it’s much more duty bound to happen. Sony forget it is not just about speedway, stock cars are also invested in this too, and other community uses. Just write a quick letter supporting it and leave the rest to those who know what they’re doing.
  13. As has been mentioned the first one is King's Lynn v Oxford on April 28th. The full schedule I believe is imminent but they will be going to each track once initially, and then on from there seeing how it pans out. Plus playoffs and British Final.
