  1. Claus Vissing........ Scored 13+1 at Berwick for Workington in the Border Trophy. Scored 12 at Berwick for Workington in the Championship. Flies round Glasgow......Plymouth, Edinburgh.........and on a 7.39 Away average for Worky....... Available on a 6.34 average.
  2. Won the Peter Craven in 2022....very capable rider, victim of the trendy names currently.
  3. Clubs need to start making their own plans for special fixtures and arranging friendly matches outwith the leagues and KO cup. I'd love to see some international invitational friendly matches.
  4. Get Vissing Signed........ Scored 13+1 at Berwick for Workington in the Border Trophy. Scored 12 at Berwick for Workington in the Championship. Flies round Glasgow......Plymouth, Edinburgh.........and on a 7.39 Away average for Worky....... Available on a 6.34 average....Surely a no brainer if Schlein declines.
  5. Charles Wright Dan Gilkes / Connor Mountain Claus Vissing Jason Edwards Danny King Jake Mulford Ace Pijper = 39.41 / 39.98
  6. Charles Wright Dan Gilkes Claus Vissing Jason Edwards Danny King Jake Mulford New NDL = 39.04
  7. 1. Cook 2. Hume 3. Vissing 4. Kemp 5. Schlein 6. J. Smith / Ace Pijper? 7. 2 pointer 39.81
  8. The entire Poole team is a disgrace. Lawson spitting the dummy when clearly took out Masters. Tobias Thomsen dropping the C bomb on TV and then gesturing to the crowd at the trophy. Vinnie Foord fencing Luke Killeen, then Jody Scott and antagonising the crowd. A terrible advert for the sport and I bet the SCB do nothing.......fines and bans should be dished out to Thomsen and Foord.
  9. 1, Robert Lambert 2. Ben Basso 3. Rasmus Jensen 4. Josh Pickering 5. Chris Harris 6. Claus Vissing 7. R/S Premiership.
  10. But...maybe more than come currently for home fixtures in the Championship league?....A Monday / Thursday would be worth the trip on a non-Edinburgh / Berwick / Workington raceday?......and we are only 3 hours from Belle Vue, not a huge drive these days?
  11. Something like....(no idea on averages etc, just a concept of doubling up riders in same team across two leagues) Premiership Team - Kubera, Basso, Jensen, Sedgemen, Harris, Vissing, Mulford Championship Team - Harris, Mulford, Vissing, Pearson, Sedgemen, Foord, James ?
  12. This a great idea. The gaps in the Championship fixtures just do not do anything to retain or increase the fan base. If we raced both leagues, with some clever team selection, we could double up 4 common riders in both leagues. I believe collectively we would attract fans from Berwick, Edinburgh and Workington to our home meetings to see premiership riders like Sayfutinov, Lindgren, Bewley, Doyle etc. these fans as well as away fans from the premier league opposition in play. I believe these meetings would attract many more vs. the away fan attendance from Berwick, or Edinburgh for their individual visits.. Get a big Polish name in the Premier League team like Janowski or Kubera and a large market opens up in Glasgow for Polish fans......something that would of course need some focussed marketing to maximise the results. Time to give this a go is my thoughts......both leagues or at least the premier league.
  13. Ivacic is taking the P. Wins a title racing against NKI and Wojdylo at the weekend and then is half a lap of the pace and scores 0 at Oxford. off the gas completely and drifting into the first bend, not trying a leg. If i was PM, his bikes would have been in the van after his second heat and sent on his merry way.
  14. Don't blame him, team management never gave much of a toss about his welfare when he was scraped off the fence at Sheffield and in an ambulance. Wouldn't be treated like that at Glasgow.
  15. Pirates fans were treated to seeing some real speedway on a real speedway track on Friday..............must have been a novel experience for them, how excited they all were to see bikes passing each other. I'd bet there was more passing and racing in one heat last Friday than we'll see in the entire meeting on Wednesday. Going back to Winboring Road must be tough, really tough..............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  16. Jeez that really is terrible, I hope they get it sorted after that deluge. The track staff have their work cut out. Shame for the Comets that.
  17. Why are we talking about NDL?...........We are the largest city in Scotland, we should be in the Premier League.
  18. Needs some thought that, or maybe it is held at the NSS?....or drawn from one of the 5th to 9th place finishers tracks.....dunno. Denmark do this and rotate the venue, not sure what decides where the superfinal is?
  19. I'd like to see, 1. 2 home and 2 away to decide the League Champions. 2. Then have a top 4 team Superfinal for the top 4 teams, rotate annually which track gets the superfinal. 3. Then have a 1off Premier Champs vs. Championship Champs Meeting. And no other competitions.
  20. Glasgow should be in the Premier League after that win in 2023. Fans from Berwick, Edinburgh and Workington will likely travel, (in more collective numbers than they do now for away matches at Glasgow), just to see Premiership speedway with big name riders. I am not buying the 'but we lose the derby' nonsense, (there is about 5 of them visit anyway). A bit of marketing effort if we were to recruit a top flight Polish rider would bring in Polish fans from across Glasgow, there are many speedway fans that do not attend Ashfield but watch the Ekstraliga.....I know this for a fact. The whole points limit thing goes, away, we could have retained Basso, Tarasenko for example. And why can we not race on a Monday or a Thursday?, I just do not get that logic that we need to race on a Friday night...........I mean the difference between watching Sayfutinov on a Monday or a Thursday vs. watching what we currently watch on Friday is surely worth rearranging the set in stone date you get your perm done? True speedway fans will travel anywhere to watch speedway no matter how far..........and I dare say the casual fan or any new target audience types probably already have better things to do on a Friday night.
