  1. I cannot see how One league would work with the current talent pool of riders available. Riders riding for 2 teams in one league is simply not an option even if there was some North/South split for the regular league season ahead of a champions of champions play off. The only way I see one league working is working on some kind of arrangement(if it’s even possible) to allow some of the young unattached riders from the USA, Aus, South America and some of the less common European nations. However, that then leaves the problem of costs of these riders coming over for machinery, travel, accommodation, working visa’s and whether they’d even meet the criteria to be able to come over here and race under current laws (something I’m not too read up on). Then the question of whether they’d even want to.
  2. Well we know there will be no Emily next year after he’s said he’s goodbyes to Ipswich on social media. A big loss of a great rider and great person.
  3. Hi, does anyone have the results for the 2nd half meeting they wouldn’t mind sharing? Cant find them anywhere. Thank you
  4. Deserved win for Kings Lynn over the 2 legs. Shame the drama that could have been a last heat decider what ruined by an absolute embarrassment of a referee. A referee who didn’t even know the rules of programmed rides. It’s like we asked one of the riders relatives to fill in like a Sunday league football match.
  5. Very poor night from the witches and a tediously long meeting to make it all the worse. Great effort from Lynn who seem to find a different level against us
  6. Rough translation of a post on twitter from Doyley’s polish team: ”During the Orlen Oil GP of Poland in his 4th start Jason Doyle fell on the track. The initial diagnosis is a hip injury. We do not yet know how serious the injury is or how long the competitor will be out of competition. The entire community of Włókniarz Częstochowa is keeping their fingers crossed for Jason!” https://x.com/ckm_wlokniarz/status/1924025659631767931?s=46 really hope it’s not as bad a looked. All thoughts with him.
  7. No more announcements until next week! Confirmed on twitter
  8. Does anyone know when the AGM is pencilled in and what might be on the agenda?
  9. I think we’d be more likely to get a requirement for both reserve births to go British “rising stars” than to lose it all together.
  10. Doyle, Rew, Thompson and one of Emil/Tobi (depending on Emil’s availability) should be the first names on the team sheet. I’d love to see Brennan at foxhall and I’d have Ellis back if Emil comes back. However he will likely be the one to miss out if we get Tobi and have a few more points to play with. For the sake of his Ipswich legacy not being tarnished and for his own benefit King needs a change of scenery.
  11. It’s a tough one. Foxhall is very limited by its size and the external stock car track I’m not really sure how or If you can ever make it a better race track. However, as you say I can recall a lot better meetings with the old track shape. Although you can potentially put that down to the quality and racing attitude of the riders of the past that used to be in league Crump, Gollob, Adam’s, Rickardsson, Loram, Ward etc along with very different machinery. Having Doyle and Emil is key for Ipswich because even in defeat they make the meeting worth watching alone. Without them there is little to attract fans. As someone mentioned above we need someone like a Pickering outside those top 2 who is an old school racer and will always give 110%. Rew is probably our closest rider to that.
  12. I literally said Leicester were more up for up for it and deserved winners? Just highlighted that in my opinion there were some moves that crossed the line. Wouldn’t have had any impact on the result or the fact Leicester deserves to win if they didn’t happen. If you disagree then you’re quite entitled to that opinion as I am mine. No need to be rude.
  13. Good win for Leicester that they were proper up for it and deserved winners. King and Ellis let Ipswich down tonight. A few dangerous moves from Lawson, cook and Fricke this evening that probably crossed the line of hard/fair racing. A few times Lucky there wasn’t a nasty incident. Desperately need our heat leader replacement sorted asap and Thompson back.
