  1. Why on earth do they choose to run at a loss in the Premiership rather than run in the Championship with a profit ? So this could be one more club that doesn't want to run In the premiership in the near future.
  2. I think he was saying Northampton happening 90% Ipswich happening 99% Yes lost TV Coverage but should get it back in future, probably TNT again. SFL is looking very promising, goal is to get to Poland Levels. NDL 6 teams is about right for the amount of riders available. Should be 6 good teams. Disclaimer: This is what I interpreted he was saying.
  3. Fair enough, which ones are better please. I will have to watch them.
  4. It's on youtube, new episodes every Friday morning 11am. It's the best speedway Podcast/Video show by far IMHO.
  5. Lots of the young Aussies interviewed by BSN during the Australian Championship last week said that they wanted to come over to the uk. Actually saying "call me"
  6. Or Swindon team at Oxford 🤪
  7. I watched the coverage of Round 1 of the Australian championship on BSN today. Jaimon Lidsey was interviewed by Greg Blair and Jaimon said he hasn't got a UK team yet.
  8. I just looked on the four confirmed premiership clubs websites. Leicester are advertising season tickets for 12 home league meetings. I guess for 4 teams to visit 3 times each. On the other hand Belle Vue, Sheffield, and Kings Lynn don't seem as confident. They are still not advertising 2026 season tickets at all.
  9. No IMHO I thought it was looking like 5 teams including Ipswich, and that would be why Leicester, Kings Lynn, Sheffield, & Belle Vue have committed to it in the first place. I'm now really amazed that there is a top secret 5th team (Ipswich being the 6th team) that Absolutely no one seems to know anything about. But if so then fair enough and well done to them.
  10. Oh right thanks for that info, I never worked out that was the case. Crikey they have done really well keeping the 5th team so secret.
  11. Surely it must be almost certain that Ipswich will be running in 2026. I can't believe Leicester, Kings Lynn, Belle Vue, & Sheffield would want to run in a 4 team league - Would they?
  12. Yes it was a nora meeting, I thought it was great. Heat 13 Lowest scorers from the meeting up to that point, heat 14 middle highest scorers, Heat 15 Top Scorers. 6 rider teams.
  13. The problem is Monday night meetings! Thursday are OK though!
  14. As Jason Doyle has decided to not ride in the uk this year, that can't be good for Ipswich or the Premiership. If anyone would be in the Know it would be him. He would definitely be in close contact with the current owners and any prospective new owners. The new owners would be desperate for him to ride, unless they told him that they couldn't afford him.
  15. Yes especially Belle Vue and Kings Lynn (although I wouldn't expect anything else from Buster) because at least them two clubs don't have any ownership issues to resolve and know they are running in 2026.
  16. I imagine that Leicester, Kings Lynn, and Belle Vue must be crapping themselves waiting for Sheffield and Ipswich to confirm if they are running in 2026 or not. Let alone hoping for a sixth team to rise from the ashes.
  17. The 6th team options for the premiership are slowly running out. Cradley Heath doesn't look nowhere near ready, Peterborough Panthers update yesterday pretty much ruled out a return to the Showground any time soon. Glasgow announced their full championship line up today. Then you have the Sheffield/ Ipswich problems to even get it up to 4 or 5 teams. So this probably just leaves only the Northampton/ Oxford rumours. So slowly running out of options.
  18. He also said, "we will definitely go ahead with the revealing as the AGM hold-up was to do with the premiership - the championship will go ahead as planned. We know what's happening and if it is decided that we go to one league, then the premiership will effectively come to us".
  19. Redcar co promoter Jamie Swales said this week in the Speedway Star. Redcar are revealing their full 1 to 7 at their Christmas party on Friday 5th December.
  20. He isn't on the bspl payroll. But he very much deserves to be, looks like he is doing far more to save speedway than the bspl are. He could potentially save their bacon.
  21. Yes I went to the Mildenhall vs Peterborough Panthers meeting on October 25th this year. It was a Nora meeting, I liked the format, especially the the way the last 3 heats are run.
  22. Yes true, I probably used the wrong terminology there. I'm sure they all pretty much have their teams sorted.
  23. In the meantime it looks like the Championship is business as usual. Fair play to them. Berwick Bandits, No signings Edinburgh Monarchs, Dan Thompson Glasgow Tigers, No signings Oxford Cheetas, No signings Plymouth Gladiators, Scott Nicholls, Danny King Poole Pirates, Richard Lawson, Will Cairns, Fraser Bowes Redcar bears, No signings Scunthorpe Scorpions, Josh Pickering, Ryan Ingram Workington Comets, Jonas Jeppesen, Tate Zischke
  24. Yes, putting the AGM back to Jan 6th seems like a very risky idea. Like you say most riders will want to be sorted with a team before then. I imagine Danish and Swedish clubs will be using this to their advantage and trying to entice riders who would otherwise have signed in the uk by now.
