  1. I was there last night, only the fact that Chris Louis and Ritchie Hawkins had stepped down got mentioned at the beginning, then Ritchie and Danny King went on to say how sad they were etc. But definitely no revelations as to why it had happened. They were keeping very shtum about it.

  3. So I'd be rather interested to know why Chris Louis and Ritchie Hawkins were not happy with the 2026 league structure. As described above by the BSPL chairman.
  4. I suppose Less Clubs = Less opportunities = Less new riders!
  5. Lots of people at lots of tracks use their own chairs, and some of them might even be season ticket holders. Lots of people use their own chairs at British Superbikes at top circuits like brands hatch. Lots of people even use their own chairs at a premium racetrack like Silverstone for the most premium sport of F1
  6. Why, is it beyond the Wit of man to put up a fence and lay a track in winter.
  7. If the landowner EoEAS allow them too, then yes. I guess there are on going discussions about that.
  8. You don't absolutely have to have seating straight away. People can Stand or bring their own Camping chairs. People can sit or stand under the cover of the very large grandstand. Permanent Seats can be added over time.
  9. I certainly got the impression he enjoyed his time at Peterborough.
  10. Inevitable means certain to happen. So why not announce it then. The other problem with that plan is the current 5 premiership teams will have their teams sorted and that only leaves the left overs for the 6th club. But that's absolutely fine with Ipswich,Belle Vue, and Sheffield & Co isn't it.
  11. I think that Peterborough Panthers agree that the Championship is the best format. I've heard a prominent member of "Forever Panthers Ltd" state that the Championship is British Speedway's gem in the crown. It was also said if Panthers had Bomber in the team for example, he would charge them double In the Premiership than what he would in the Championship.
  12. Only the top layer of shale was removed, "Forever Panthers Ltd" consortium have always said the track can be resurrected
  13. Yes they have a track at the Peterborough East of England showground.
  14. I would imagine that the championship could take place in 2026, with no bother. They might even get a couple of extra clubs like Leicester and Kings Lyn join the ranks.
  15. Surely if there are only 4 interested teams left, then the premiership won't happen. Then it will be one championship type league of X amount of clubs.
  16. Yes two of his businesses, City auction group, and Purplerock sponsored the Panthers team for their meeting at Mildenhall on Saturday 25th Oct, and I imagine they will be heavily involved if and when the Panthers return.
  17. I doubt there are 3 championship clubs willing to go up, glasgow and Poole etc know they are onto a more profitable product in the championship. Also if 3 teams did go up that would leave the championship in a similar mess with only 6 teams.
  18. I agree with you 100% , odd that some people on hear and some clubs think keeping Emil and Co in a 5 team league is more important than having one league of 14 championship level clubs.
  19. Yes 16 meetings total, that means you only get to see your team at home 8 times during the regular league season. Sorry what is NL/NT
  20. How would a 5 team premiership work, home and away twice is only 8 home league meetings. Home and away 4 times would be 16 home league meetings but it would be very dull seeing the same teams over and over. Surely you cant then have 4 out of 5 teams in the play offs. All options are pathetic.
  21. Yes, I see two of his businesses, Purplerock, and City auction group are sponsoring the Panthers for this upcoming meeting.
  22. Yes this goes someway to proving (what some people say) that British Speedway doesn't really need expensive star riders draining their coffers to produce a good meeting. Like you say it levelled this meeting out somewhat.
  23. Leicester vs Kings Lynn was a good entertaining meeting last night with a fairly large crowd as well. The meeting was a bit closer than the scoreline suggests. Should get the overgrown centre green tidied up though.
