  1. Surely Joe T rides for Poole though, not...erm.. himself?
  2. It's hard to see beyond another Lublin title really. I'm not 100% on Cierniak as a senior, but that'll probably be balanced with Przyjemski racking them up as a junior. Wroclaw main challengers again?
  3. You must be the most forgiving person in the world. If him turning up for a different team each year to earn a quick buck isn't already a slap in the face, then I can't see how going somewhere else is.
  4. He's got a bit of personality and can motivate a team. It's like Garry May being thought of as rainman because he makes a reserve switch to use the best gates.
  5. Did anyone abstain from Redcar's revival because it wasn't called Middlesbrough? You'd probably get the odd floating fan in with the old name but it wouldn't make that much difference.
  6. Can't wait for the hot water to be turned off again Glasgow would've won that with Nowak or Tarasenko.
  7. Or was he on the hook for X meetings? I can't imagine so but it makes no sense. Fair point. He's a top class rider and we don't have many of them here, so maybe he would've got people in, but he's not really someone you'd get overly excited about.
  8. Some of them may well make the GPs one day, but I think it'll be by default for the most part. I agree that not every rider peaks at 21, but some of those you've listed are barely beyond Championship level currently. I stand by my belief that this year's SGP2 was a poor edition. Cierniak was clearly the best rider but let's see how he does as a senior in the Ekstraliga next year.
  9. I did always wonder why Laguta, of all riders, went to Peterborough? It made zero difference to their season and he's not exactly the type to draw in huge crowds either.
  10. Yes, seriously. You've named 3 riders who are currently good enough to be in the GPs regularly. Jack Holder is 28 at the start of next season, far from retirement, but also not a youngster. Drabik and Smektala still have time? They're both 26 next year and are nowhere near GP level. "Gusts and others" - care to name any of the "others"? I watched Pedersen in Vojens yes, but as I also said the SGP2 was the worst field in many years. Keynan Rew was a race away from winning the thing and yet couldn't get past a 4.00 average in Britain. Tell me where all this potential is? Maybe netball is a good idea come to think of it.
  11. It's a crap line up compared to normal, but my worry is in the next 5-10 years. Once Doyle/Woffinden/Vaculik/etc start to filter out then we're really struggling. SGP2 this year was dreadful.
  12. I'd expect if he shows so much as a whiff of interest then people will bend over backwards to get him in. Sadly.
  13. Plus the only thing speedway fans do in unison is disagreeing with each other. Of course the results would say that. What is "fans view" then? Speedway Friends?
  14. I think they've been consistent in the direction the sport is going.
  15. Possibly in Lg. 1, seems he is/was in discussions with a couple of clubs. Ditched by his Danish club after 21 years too, the end can't be far.
  16. Yes they would, and justifiably. This is the man that faked a heart attack at Edinburgh purely to give one of his riders extra time. As others have pointed out, the man puts himself first, not the clubs he "saves". Happy to get his claws into Leicester, Peterborough, etc. with the various things they had to offer to benefit his pocket. What about the umpteen other clubs who've gone to the wall that 'Buster' didn't fancy saving?
  17. Less to do with the playoffs, more to do with transplanting a rider in just for them. Especially mercenaries like Lambert who only come back when Poland is done.
  18. I'd argue "boring" is the wrong term, then again so is "incredible overtaking". There were a couple of decent outside passes but the spectacle was ruined by the weather, and it was a bang average meeting overall. It makes you wonder what the driver behind it was. Ipswich rescheduled a day later against Ipswich Town football, Sheffield persisting in treacherous conditions. Why? It's the first week of October during a spell of decent weather. Ho hum. A pity Glasgow has also fallen victim to the weather today. Hopefully tomorrow night is better.
  19. Shambolic. Whatever your thoughts on Keith Chapman's final cash grab of a farewell meeting, surely everyone can agree that it's evident minimal effort was put in here. Mountain, Edwards, Starke, Brennan, etc? This is one of the biggest clubs in the country, countless legends and major moments, and this is the line-up that was mustered. If Chapman wants to stealth some more money with a farewell meeting he could've at least done it with some dignity and respect for the Panthers and the Showground.
  20. Kyle Howarth is not a number one, but he's comfortably better than Allen and Palm Toft. Lambert? Come on, not even a contest.
  21. I'm surprised he was even asked. Looking at social media you'd think the Panthers have existed for about 10 years. Plenty photos of Dads Army or the PL 4s. What about 98/99, Crump, Sullivan, 2006, etc?
  22. Barker is a decent Championship rider, it's not as if Plymouth are overflowing with options either?
  23. Good for Douglas I say, he's dominant at this level and should be looking to move up. Same as Masters as well. They might be the next Doyle, they might not be, but hopefully they'll go and try.
