  1. This was his down fall at times
  2. Mx is a lot closer! 39 other riders coming from 50m gate to a 10m track! He’s a multiple champion in mx. speedway wasn’t for him not because he couldn’t do it but because he didn’t enjoy it.He won the 500 youth every round in his first few months of trying speedway, 3rd under 21s and represented GB on many of occasions. Scored a championship maximum 15 points at 16. Beat many of the top riders. I think he done ok for the couple years he was in it. Especially someone with no speedway background at all. I’ve seen his races from the weekend at roden and if you believe there’s no close racing you are as daft as your comment says you are! I’ve just YouTube him and this is the first one that comes up! This is actually my first time seeing this video but he was definitely confident then.
  3. He’s not rubbing shoulders he’s winning world championship races 😂.
  4. “Our” meaning a British. No relation of mine I am just a fan of him and have been for many of years.
  5. I’ve also just read on the ACU website that Ashtons the first ever Brit to win a flat track world championship round! Dynamite Performance from our young gun 🙌
  6. He’s just won Ducatis first off road world championship round! That’s including all off road motorsports ie mx enduro ect. Ducati don’t just pick any one to represent them they obviously see Ashtons potential with his mx background. He won the meeting, set fastest times of the day, give Ducati motorcycles there first ever off road world win and has made history for both Ducati & his team.
  7. With his motocross background and his short spell in speedway it’s obviously done him the world of good to race flat track. His Instagram states on a post it was his 4th time riding a flat track bike! If that doesn’t show the lads ability and determination! Like I’ve wrote in previous posts I’ve followed him from a young age and winning a world championship round on his debut didn’t surprise me one bit. I know there’s a lot of negativity around from his last few months in speedway but there’s also a lot no one knows behind the reasons it went that way. It’s not for me to say but if they knew the real reasons then they would understand more. let’s be happy we have a Brit currently standing on the top step of a world championship representing our country.
  8. Ian he was 16 with 1 years experience in the sport! What about the 15 point maximum at Redcar? 13 points Glasgow? It’s people like YOU that completely ruins our sport for the young guns. He’s beat Jason Doyle while Jason was leading the GP if I remember rightly!? Chris holder, bomber, majic , Lawson and plenty more!!! he was 16/17 with no previous experience in speedway but still people like you didn’t give him a proper chance other than pick on his bad days and kept quite on his good! I really hope he doesn’t return to speedway as I’ve followed him from a young age and the talent he has on two wheels is outstanding. Speedway is 50% bike set up and 50% rider ability and with his lack of experience I am sure his bike was set up incorrectly a lot of the time. He was one of the best mx riders in the world for his age where his talent on a bike was shown by his ability. He can now do the same with flattrack as it’s not the bike set up that wins races it’s the rider riding it.
  9. British motocross champion, British super cross champion, world no 8 motocross, European mx champion, speedway 500cc champion, representing team GB speedway in Poland 15 points. now goes flat track for factory signing deal with Ducati. He tried flattrack just over a month ago and has only done two practice days on flattrack ever! Two practice days, One Italian championship for his 3rd outing finishing 2nd and his 4th day riding flat track he goes to the world championships in Roden and wins it. Maybe if we didn’t have so many idiots in this country who knock the youngsters on there bad days they wouldn’t disappear 🫠
  10. Isn’t boughen the youngest rider in that league? And the youngest by 3+ years in the premiership. Scored 10 points in the top league in his first two meetings this year and then an unfortunate crash in his 3rd meeting while on a 5-1 with bomber. I agree he’s struggled since the crash but surely we shouldn’t be criticising just yet? I am a kings lynn fan but following his journey up with you guys. Some of his performances last season was the best I have ever seen in 40+ years of watching and following speedway. He’s 17 with 2 years experience under his belt, let’s give him time and hopefully he will do what I and most of us know he can do.
  11. Let’s not forget Boughen’s last few rides at Peterborough and Redcar. Peterborough beating Scotty, Leon flint and just missing out on the win after battling hard with Lewi Kerr. redcar beating , winning and passed against Danny king and Blodern in one race. And another race he was beating other premiership riders. scoring 2 points at Sheffield and lead one of his races getting passed by worrel to finish 2nd. That was a few days after his 16th birthday. That’s all within 1 year of racing speedway and 1 month of turning 16 going champ & prem. Going by this video he’s more than capable!
