I find it strange that since Jamed Denholms comment on the viability of the Comets that there has been total radio silence, unless it was a ploy to get the news out there to prepare people for a more official announcement.

The previous comments are correct we have debated the fact that something needs to happen since I joined the forum a couple of years ago. It always appears to be that the Promoters cant see the bleeding obvious. It doesnt matter how well their track / team is doing if theres no opposition to ride against, for me riding against the same four or five teams isnt entertaining and definitely not when riders are in multiple teams. I dont know the answer but a premier and championship format isnt it. One big league, smaller teams maybe 5 riders, no doubling up. I think the concept of supporting a team is not as strong now because teams seem to be more fluid with guests etc.

I agree totally, Cook is very good but just unreliable, we all want the comets to succeed and to do that we need a regular team that puts in 110%

See its been announced Cook is released with immediate effect, not un expected.

I agree on the Jacob Hook front personally I was disappointed when he wasnt signed for this year. Claus Vissing never really seemed to like Northside and never gelled in the team.

I agree its probably time to call it a day, real shame as Craig has a real talent but he is constantly letting himself and others down. Whatever happens the promotion has a problem as a replacement wont be an easy find, it may even require two changes however the rest of the team are performing as required so very difficult call.

Im not sure how the averages work if a replacement was been sought what points are available and is anyone around that average available

Cookie is class on a bike but unfortunately he is just too un reliable we need a team thats complete. What changes could be made? Antti would be great at home, but falls short on away tracks.

I dont know what others think but in my view if Cookie isnt up for it we need to look for a replacement also Vinnie is out for a while by all accounts so maybe we look to replace him (temporarily) R/R and guests isnt really working. The other issue which is a good problem that works against us is that there is really no home advantage visitors are up to speed on the first ride which isnt the case at the more technical??? (awkward) tracks

At the end of the day we only need a reserve that doesn't mean the best you can hope for in a heat is 3-3

I was quite impressed with the performance against Scunny although sad to say Jamie Etherington is way off the pace looks like another Sam McGurk scenario. Im sure the promotion will be looking at options to cover Vinnies absence and Jamie.

I agree that the team appears top heavy, IF Cook is in the right space and Zischke regains his form the team will be very strong all depends on the IF

Thing is I didnt know who this guy was or has done, it took me 2 minutes to find out. Surely he isnt in the frame
