When did this rule come into place or has it been there for a while? Try as I try for the past 18 years of following speedway to keep up-to-date with the rules, I am finding it extremely confusing. It does seem now that speedway is a simple sport which has been made complicated by all the rules!!! 🤔😵‍💫 Am I the only one who thinks this?

Steve has quoted on the website “as we had not been to the speedway stadium for a month, we were slightly taken aback by the solidity of the new Stock Car fence”. it does seem surprising to say that they had not been to the track for a month. Am I the only one who feels that if you have gone to all of this effort to return speedway, you would have visited the site regularly. I am not criticising him and I hope speedway returns to Mildenhall, but this does appear to be a major over site, unless he was given reassurances. I really hope that Mildenhall managed to get the issues sorted.

Forgot to add, did anyone attend the public exhibition on Saturday 15th? It would be interesting to know what the project team said.

I completely agree, 200 car park spaces for (depending upon which part of the site you read) 3,000/5,000 spectators. Unless they are to park on the kart track or (looking at google maps) at the garden centre at the end of the road! Also, the road looks extremely narrow and surely would have to be widened (perhaps someone who knows the area would be able to shed some light onto whether this is the case or not). Call me cynical, but as hopeful as I am, things just don’t seem to add up.

There is a website up for those who haven’t seen it www.swindonmotorsports.co.uk/ I really hope it goes ahead, but I have 2 concerns just based upon what I can see from the drawings only: the road and only planning for 200 car parking spaces when they plan to have: ‘A multi-use events arena with an expandable capacity of up to 3,000.’ Perhaps someone could shed more light.

I don’t know All I can think of is that perhaps the offers he had weren’t right for him.

Looked on Rhys Naylors Facebook page and it states the following: “Unfortunately for myself I’m without a team spot for 2025 after declining 2 offers to be back at Kent!”
