  1. By all means pick on the word 'alienating' and rubbish it... but I for one was contemplating sponsoring a rider this year, and Hooky woukd have been my No.1 rider choice, (a) because he was good last year, and (b) to help 'bridge the gap' between reserve and main body. I'm more than willing to give the management the benefit of the doubt, but given Hooky has been 'counted out', this suggests the 1-7 is known... In which case, get on and announce it, rather than leaving question marks over decisions made, not made, or being made...
  2. So, as things stand, the two 2025 comets that have been signed for 2026 are the ones whose averages reduced throughout the season? Presume this is the management hoping that 2026 will be the year they push on from whatever challenges/issues/injuries they had last year...
  3. The best way to keep fans coming back is to maintain some known faces of riders that perform well... Hooky had A LOT of supporters and was the best rider in 2025, yet doesn't appear to have been rewarded for his efforts (assuming this is a comets decision obviously).
  4. Absolutely gutted by this news - was 100% rider of the year in 2025. Should have been first name on team sheet!! If this is a Comets decision, it's at risk of alienating fans.
  5. Would not have necessarily been my choice of riders to re-sign after an inconsistent 2025... But hopefully 2026 will be the year he pushes on! (And I would have been nervous if he was riding against us! 😂)
  6. My late night thoughts of 2026 Comets: Jonas Jeppesen Jacob Hook Antti Vuolas Jye Etheridge Troy Bachelor Vinnie Foord Another 3pointer This would probably be around the 40point mark... Although who knows what the rules for 2026 are!
  7. I'm sure, as always, there are two sides to every story. Based on the statement Fraser made on socials, I just hope he is ok and has support around him.
  8. Before this is taken out of context, I'm a huge Vuolas fan, but does anyone have thoughts on why he struggles soooo much at away tracks? I want him to do really well, but something just doesn't seem to click away from Workington... (Unless guesting for Scunthorpe a few weeks ago)
  9. I thought Antti's visa was sorted by Birmingham... Antti has commented himself that he hasn't been told that there are any issues with his visa.
  10. Compulsory Strike Off of a company is typically done by Companies House as a result of the Company failing to submit/file the necessary paperwork (I e. confirmation statements and/or accounts). The failure to submit this information is a failure of the company Director(s). Companies House give companies plenty of notices for submitting the relevant paperwork. This, as has been said by others, is NOT an HMRC/Tax matter. If, in this case, Companies House have struck off Northside as a result of failing to submit the necessary returns, this would be a criminal offence (of the company Director(s), which is likely to be the reason for radio silence whilst trying to sort it out. Why this resulted in the riders being banned from guesting for other teams is unclear...
