  1. Riders are in the sport to make money and more importantly not get injured. Who would want to be made to go off 15 mtrs and have to rely on on a lesser rider in front not losing control. Mark Loram paid the penalty for trying to pass Sam Simota on the outside and yes I know it wasn't deliberate but he was totally taken out. Sorry for showing my age but Peter Craven got killed trying to pass a rider after he came off 15 metres.
  2. Jim Without a doubt Scott is one of the top sixteen riders in the world, and by far the top Brit, and for him not to be in the Grand Prix would be pathetic. Apart from the moaners on this forum I think you will find a lot of support for Scotty. I could not name another nation that slags their Number 1 off as much as we do. Good luck to him.
  3. Thats brilliant Rico. Will be a great day. Good sleep on the bus on the way there recovering from the day before no doubt. Atmosphere will be good because you have to fancy one of the Polish lads to win it. Pedro.
  4. Count me in Rico. There are 4 of us. We are stopping at Hotel sporting again, Thursday to Monday. Cheers Ped
  5. Sorry I meant no harm to Ostrow, just the distance between the two tracks. I have booked my flight and accomodation in Bydgoczsz now, beginning to wish I hadn't. To be honest I wish it was a league meeting on the Sunday, they are terrific. Ped
  6. Mateusz Thanks for that. Have booked up to fly back to England on the Monday so we could see speedway on the Sunday. 10 hours on train is far too long. We went to Gdansk last year it was brilliant. Bit silly not having it nearer Bydgoszcz. I met you last year in the City Club, it was really good most of the riders were there. We were the drunken English crowd. Ped
  7. Hi Mateusz How far is it from Bydgoczsz to get to the World under 21 final the next day. Were you in the City Hotel after the speedway last year. ????? Peter
  8. I got booked up at the Sporting Hotel about 1 mile north of the track and a £2 taxi ride away from the centre. There last year really good and not expensive. Use http://www.zlotehotele.pl/ to book.
  9. Flights Booked. Also managed to get booked up in hotel using http://www.zlotehotele.pl and staying at Sporting Hotel. About 1 mile from centre of Bydgoczsz but only £3 in taxi. Lots of supporters last year and great value for money. Trev
  10. Try camping at Lavernock Point in Penart about 3 mile away. £6 a night with bar on the site and it gets full of speedway supporters. Brill weekend
  11. Looks like you must have been standing quite near where I was. Veri intimidating. Why dont you put some of the pictures on this site. Cheers Ped
  12. Not long now. Never been to Poland before. Whats the weather like this time of year. Cheers Ped
  13. Hi not long now getting really excited. Am travelling on the thursday and back on the monday. Not been before and I will be doing and going where everyone goes so any recommendations what clothes I should take. Is it jeans and T shirts all weekend or do I need trousers and dress shirts. Cheers Ped.
  14. Rich. I pay good money to go to watch speedway now, the future will take care of itself. Mark is still box office and speedway needs that. Any other country in the world and their fans would want there last World Champion riding. What on earth is wrong with us English.
  15. I guess I use the Email. Last night I clicked on the big yellow bit entitled reserve tickets by internet and ended up with that transfer of funds message. Thanks Trev
  16. Just ordered my tickets on the speedway gp site and I thought it would ask for a credit card. I received the following message and I don't know how to comply. Can anyone help > To purchase booked tickets, you have to > promptly transfer the amount of > 270.90 pln > on account: > Bydgoskie Towarzystwo ¯u¿lowe POLONIA > ul. Sportowa 2 > 85-091 Bydgoszcz, POLAND > bank POCZ PL P4 > IBAN: 41 1320 1117 2034 6519 2000 0005 > Transfer title: > saldo/Trevor - 0193.JBUO Cheers Trev
  17. Pedropete plus dad and brother. All hardened by the Cardiff drink culture so should be great fun.
  18. Totally agree, of course we have a chance. I know it is slim but it is still there. Sport is not about the future it is about now. The future will take care of itself and Simon will be part of it.
  19. Sorry Steve, we don't all have riders we dislike. I love the sport and cannot think of a rider I don't like. My only gripe with speedway fans is that they dont get behind the British lads enough. Even when Mark Loram was pushing for the title, British fan's wore Tony Rickardsson shirts. Can you see Swedes doing that, of course not.
  20. Never mind DVD about the speedway. How about us fans enjoying ourselves during the day in Cardiff. The pubs the atmosphere was terrific. It really is speedway supporters big day out. Not only fans but the pubs are full of riders who do there sport proud in the way they communicate with everyone. Billy Janiro in particular was a pleasure to be around, he had time for everyone. Trev.
  21. Totally agree Shazzybird. Lee absolutely rode Mark into the fence at Coventry in the British Final. I was right there, he looked saw where Mark was then went wide leaving Mark in a heap. It was a disgraceful thing to do to your fellow countryman. I too will never forget.
