Who to go for in the next round Will Rickardsson be up for it again after winning the World Championship ? Will Crump be bothered after getting another 2nd place Who will finish 3rd, Pedersen or Adams. (obviously Pedersen as Adams is always 4th!) I just can't make my mind up. What was I thinking with 2000 each on both Hampel & Bjarne ! Bet nobody has lost 4000 points in one round before ! Gutted. Well, I think it might have to be an all-in gamble next time to try and catch Woody !

This match is the reason I took the decision a month ago (after losing yet again) that I no longer bet on speedway. Looking at this match before the meeting, there was no way Denmark could lose it. It did look like easy money. But I stayed strong and decided that as I had given up betting I wouldn't start again, no matter how odds on it looked. So pleased with myself ! I would have lost a fortune yet again ! It used to be so easy making money on speedway. I knew so much more than the bookies a couple of years ago. Now they take me to the cleaners !

Yes. I unfortunately took 5/2 on Poole for the title. More unfortunately I also took 6/1 on Oxford ! Still can't make my mind up if to edge my bets and put some money on Belle Vue. May wait to see what happens on Monday night (Belle Vue v Poole) As a Bradford supporter not too bothered who actually wins the title, just so long as I make some money on it (or don't lose too much)

T.Rickardsson 1/33 J.Crump 12/1 Nicki Pedersen 40/1 L.Adams 66/1 Not sure I fancy any of those. Only a bad injury could stop Tony winning it, but at odds of 1/33 I'm not willing to take that chance. Besides put that money in a high interest account you could almost make as the same amount as a bookie is going to give you.

Now there's an idea, or maybe a 1/2 rating. Up to Steve I suppose.

It is usually the case after every Grand Prix that it takes a day or two for the revised odds to be posted onto the bookies websites. If there is nothing posted by say Wednesday though, you may be right and the bookies have conceded that TR has got it won. I reckon the bookies will be giving something like :- 1/10 TRicky 6/1 Crumpy 10/1 Nicki 12/1 Adams

Crumpy is better odds at William Hill 9/4 as opposed to 15/8 at Coral. Although Nicki Pedersen is better odds at Coral.

This is for the outright Championship. Yes, you have got the injury concern, which can either work against you, or could work for you (you back Crumpy and his nearest rivals get injured). With Crumpy though, he has finished in the top 2 in the last 4 years, so I personally think he is good enough to win it again. I always felt that after Nicki Pedersen won it two years ago he would find it very difficult to win it again the year after. He had come from nowhere in 2002 to World Champion in 2003. A big leap. He hadn't (and still hasn't) been consistantly at the top of the tree for several years. I would probably only say that Crumpy, Tony and Leigh Adams have consistantly been up there for the last several years and it would be a major suprise if they were not up there, in with a shout again this year.

They have got it spot on with those 5. Like others I was concerned that maybe Ryan hadn't done enough this year to get a place, but we all know that on his day he is World Class and hopefully will have a better season next year. Unlucky Runa who is the probably the only other rider in the current Grand Prix season that has missed out next year that maybe could have done the job next season.

Does anyone else think that when (not if) Crumpy becomes World Champion his mind may not be as focused on winning the Grand Prix as it usually is. I think the same may go for Rickardsson when he can no longer become World Champion. Therefore my prediction is :- Hancock (always goes well in last GP of season) Nicholls N Pedersen (go out on a high(ish) note) Sullivan (at last showing the form we know he is capable of doing)

Well after winning £106 at the last grand prix after staking £30 on the winner of heats 1 & 3 (H Andersen & T Rickardsson) I have decided to go for a more ambitious bet. Basically I have put a £1 accumulator on all of the following happening :- Jonsson to win Heat 1 B Pedersen to win Heat 2 L Richardson to win Heat 3 Crump to win Heat 10 L Richardson to outscore Loram Jonsson to outscore Sullivan Nicholls to outscore H Andersen Crump to outscore both Rickardsson & Adams Hancock to outscore both Gollob & N Perdersen Only bet £1, but if that lot comes off I will win £388.45 !! Wish me luck !

Just has a quick scan of the listings for next Saturday night. The 4 sky sports channels are currently showing Rugby Union, Rugby League, First Division Football and the US Open (Tennis). Will any of them make way for Speedway. Does speedway have a higher profile than any of those 4 ?
