I dont think its fair to say there is no evidence.... What do you think we are working for with the U15s We all know we will have a queit time but there are some good lads about and Ed kennett has shown in the test match he has class also when going to Wimbledon have been impressed by young Danny Betson. Lewis Bridger has a great future as does the top riders in the U15s as long as they are given the chances in the PL and EL and Peter Oakes is allowed to develope these lads. Why are overseas riders allowed to double up????? this should be for BRITISH RIDERS ONLY. Also second rate overseas riders who are given chances time and time again also help with Vans accomadation etc while our lads are just left to fight there way on there own.????? never understand that one

Under 15's Scunthorpe
Wildcat Steve replied to Readiefan's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Its nice to see the interest with the U15s As to Kye Norton. I have spoken to Peter Oakes tonight and as far as he was aware all riders were on 500cc bikes All riders have to ride 500cc bikes you cannot mix them. Peter was of the same opinion as me that that if Kye was riding a 350 it should have been picked up when the bikes were examined before the meeting. No one objected or brought it up during the meeting and this is all speculation. As I have said I have spoken to Peter this evening so he is now aware of the situation. Paul you say that the accidents were down to parents setting bikes incorrectly for the riders.????? Look at the Gps how many falls do you see? its a championship like any other the lads are going for it. look at the photo in the Star all going for it giving no quater. no complaints when they pick themselves up just racing Setting the bikes any different than you normally would for a second half or practice on different tracks would be of no advantage to that lad. Many try to get second halves at these tracks before hand to get an idea of set ups. Riders have different styles, carbs, engines, etc what works for one does always work for another. George knows what works for him and I am guided by what he wants. He will tell me what the bike is doing and what he wants it to do and I set it up to what he wants. ( Well Try ) As to the lads riding 500cc bikes all have to be assesed by TWO Instructors to have their licence upgraded. Last year in the CL Sam Martin came over and held down a place in the CL when he went home he could not ride a 500 and could only ride a 125. Do you think this helped his progress? Both Mark and Sam would e-mail us before he came over last season frustrated that he could not ride a 500 like George Yes the Danes, Sweads and Oz have produced great riders and will continue to do so. What we are doing I feel is great because those who are ready can move up on ability not age. What we are doing will produce great riders too i have no doubt. You can see the results in the CL already I know most of the riders parents and I would say that there are no pushy parents. Its something that all riders parents get labelled with. Most of the time its reining them back not pushing them. The lads want it all now -

If he did have a 350 why was it not picked up in scrutineering???? George said he had heard the same a couple of riders at the training day rode 350s at Buxton but knew he had to have a 500 for U15s. Maybe thats what they were talking about -

Have been saying that for a while. SK We are developing a great British youth policy and there are now chances for the youth riders and something to aim for. Alright its a bit late and we may have a few lean years and can bang on about it till the cows come home it wont change whats done and poor old Middlo may have a headache for a while. Peter Oakes was the right man for the job and the right people listen to him. Peter Oakes was doing a great gob with the juniors at Swindon giving George his first second half rides in 2003 and for him to then to get the chance to do it on a National basis was a great move by the BSPA The response from supporters up and down the country has been fantastic, its good to see you all get behind the lads. The supporters at Scunthorpe were brill, was good to see so many. You can tell the interest by when Stressed puts up the U15 results and stats update on Georges website ASAP (thanks Timbo) and we get 200 plus on his site checking the results by the following day and it is growing all the time also how much is posted on here these lads are the future and they are all a great bunch of lads to work with and they all work together. Rivals on the track but mates off it Lets hope that as they continue to progress through the CL that they then get the chances in the PL and EL and at International level -

Hi Greg Scott took a heavy fall in heat 11 and withdrew from the rest of the meeting was Ok just shaken -
Over the last month we have had no end of help from Tom and Terry who without their help George would not have had the results he has had. At Scunthorpe George was using an Interspan box loaned to us by Terry Brown which George was trying out at Weymouth on Friday and Terry putting a lot of time in helping us get things right with Terry on the center green with George during his rides Thankyou both very much also to Lynda for putting up with us Gp weekend Steve and George

Yes George was bought new covers and Matching Kevlars thanks to Anglo Polish Agency, Mad Web Design and Malcolm Hogg of SF Raceware for doing them so quickly also to Havvy for sorting it for us. Georges break down was one of those annoying things and we were gutted for him. Its a shame because we have very few breakdowns and prepared so carefully. George had a good day at the practice and was well up for it. We had improved our equipment for the day and set ups many thanks to Terry Brown (Toms Father) for the hours spent in Toms workshop. Yesterday had a long chat with Georges sponsors and are looking to upgrade Georges kit again and our approach. A lot learned by us all off the track as well as on it. Many thanks to Peter Oakes and all who made it happen A very big thankyou to Tom Browns Mum Lynda for putting up with us all since thursday and the speedway mayhem Your the real star -

George was invited came out of the Blue its a great honour as we are showing the world what OUR Junior lads can do time for the rest of the world to see the great talent we have with Lewis and Josh and when they are all in the Junior England squad they will have good back up. We have made great strides and have a lot of talented juniors Talking of riders who are going well one to watch is George Jarvis in the U15s this lad also has a great future hope he gets the call He has impressed me nice lad too -
