  1. Sad thing is its all true Thank you rapidfire you have been a real star this weekend with what personal problems I have had and the van your timely help has been very much appreciated Gemini sorry for not catching up with you at Buxton would have been nice to chat to you again
  2. Oh come to think about it I am not a good mechanic either
  3. You made me smile about Georges acting he got loads of stick in the van over that on the way home Fiona is starting to work out well and will make a good mechanic. She has a lot of spirit thats for sure and gives up a lot of her time Georges arm is still of some concern still swollen so wont be racing any where this week. He has his SATs at school so dont want him thinking about speedway this week he still needs his grades. as to my problems well......all over the place at the mo how things change so quickly
  4. Well done to Josh, speedy recovery to Jack Butler Chris Widman and Brendan Jonson. George was caught up in a bizzar situation in heat 8 his second ride when we were last out of the pits I was just about to push him out and the Ref Paul Ackroyd started the race with THE PIT GATE OPEN. We were lucky as I was just about to push him out and the pit marshall shut the gate as the three riders went past. We were not on two mins. After frantic pit phone conversations after the race the Ref stated that George was a non starter. That went down welll with George and myself as you can guess (would have looked good on Sky) With Peter Oakes talking to Paul he relented and re ran the heat with all 4 riders. That was not without a re-run with George and Joe Haines coming together on the first turn with George highsiding it and Chris Widman could not get his bike down in time and ran into the fallen George . George and Chris were down for a little while and George picked himself up to re focus and score 10 points nursing a swollen arm. He should be OK for this afternoon at Weymouth, Just about to go out and sort the bike out it looks like its been in a war
  5. Hi Vince, Seems odd this season without you and Sam about. George has grown up a lot this season and seems much more foucused himself and is picking the people he wants around him
  6. Hi Phil, I hope any "differences" between the Grass track boys will be left outside of Speedway as last year the lads worked together in the pits and were rivals on the track. When George wrote off his bike at Sittingbourne Sam and Vince Hurst were quick to offer Sams second bike to George. The atmosphere in the pits was great and we had a lot of good times on the road. This spirit has continued and the 15 yr old riders now riding in the CL still have that spirit. It has been noted a few times Long may that continue as this will bode well for the future of British Speedway
  7. Come and say Hi looking forward to the Scorpions round in June.Shame with me being so ill during the winter that George never got to one of the training schools
  8. Got no friends then Steve? that you have to take the mick out of a 13 year old with dyspraxia. George thought your reply was funny though I dont like txt speak myself but thats the younger generation for you See Forum Rules and Regulations

Many thanks for everyones co-operation. Hope you all had a good day Thanks for all those who helped out and many thanks once again to Richard and Jayne for making us feel so welcome. Its always a pleasure to visit Buxton

They rode and gave it their all. Many thanks to Sam Hurst who rode at Newport then rushed down rode for Kings Lynn then turned out for the U15 Wildcats and put in an amazing performance in both fixtures at the Wessex. Tim Webster was battered and bruised after taking a few hefty tumbles in both meetings. Matt blew an engine and never got the chance to do anything in the meeting as did George who had a con rod snap while doing his demo laps before the main meeting and rode his second bike for the U15s and picked up 7points with his Havvy style captains head on All season the U15 riders that have ridden at Weymouth have been a pleasure to work with many thanks to all of them
  13. Would like to say a big thankyou to all the U15 lads for being so helpful and willing to come back and ride in the second half U15 challenge A big thankyou to Adam Lowe and Andy Brathwaite and their families for staying in B&Bs for and extra night to race for Wolverhampton Sunday. Without this sort of co-operation we would not be able to restage this event _________________ Weymouth 1 Matt Bates 2 George Piper © 3 Sam Hurst 4 Tim Webster Wolves 1 Lewis Bridger © 2 Adam Lowe 3 Dan Kirkman 4 Andy Braithwaite
  14. Well done Josh. George said "did you enjoy your shower?" I hear your kit is a bit wet George and Steve
  15. what the same one? i know were Vince would tell me to stick it too
  16. Steve. At Mildenhall Was you wearing a Weymouth jacket and Black Wulfsport Bottoms?? I was going to come over & say hello. But I didn't just incase It weren't you & I made a T1T of myself Hopefully we'll meet on the 11th October <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes that was me the balding ugly one
  17. Would like to say a big thankyou to all the track staff at Mildenhall who worked hard to try and make the track ridable but sadly the rain had the last say
  18. Spot on Lanzilla Like you I have always thought Terry Russell was good for the sport. but when you start having a stake in everything and calling the shots and dancing to the tune of Sky they you start to wonder. I have never been a fan of the tac ride and it does the sport no credit. off 15 meters thats a different story and a manager has to gamble Makes it interesting. Lanzilla come to Weymouth and see some grass roots racing. I have been going to poole for...... many years and this season i just cant get fired up like years gone by. Dont know if its because of the rules or the way the EL is going. I have seen some super action good close racing sometimes but this year something is missing. May just be Tim Helm ( stressed) not being on the mike and doing the music as we have had some cracking meetings at the Wessex and Mr Helm has been very funny on the mike and given good entertainment. ( half the time at my expence)
  19. I belive we are singing from the same Hymn sheet brother Pat
  20. Will have to let you know on that one as it looks like this fridays rained off meeting may be re-arannged for next week with the U15 Weymouth vs Eastbourne R&B Annual Challenge trophy taking the place of the normal second half Rain it does your head in. a bit like an Ex
