Today (Wednesday) mark three days since the horrific accident in Gniezno. The young rider was airlifted to a hospital in Poznań. There, he underwent complex spinal surgery the very first night. The first, somewhat more optimistic news began to emerge on Tuesday. A series of further tests revealed no further injuries beyond those previously diagnosed, which involved the spine, pelvis, and legs. "The patient's lower limb surgery has been completed. It lasted three hours. Doctors say it went according to plan, with no complications. This is good news. The patient's condition is slowly stabilising, but he is still in the intensive care unit and placed in a medically induced coma. The timing of his awakening will be determined by doctors, who are constantly monitoring his condition," Zuzanna Pankros, spokesperson for the Poznań hospital, told po-bandzie.com.pl
