  1. Last time I stick up for you Suppose it will save some young Slovenian ladies a wild goose chase, eh Rico
  2. Agrees Have a great time - hopefully see you in Cardiff Captain !! Rico
  3. I looked the other day after news of their flights to Bydgoszcz and I am sure the Rzeszo and Gdansk routes were only from Frankfurt. Good to see them added to Stansted as well. I don't know if it can get much cheaper Rob. In the last year or so I've had a couple of 'free' (tax and charges only) flights as well as a couple of £4.99 ones. Competition is a wonderful thing. Hopefully the prices won't start sneaking up once the market settles down. Rico
  4. I was trying to be kind Hazzman Rico
  5. I believe the TPT cost for Bydgoszcz is £425, excluding ticket cost. Can be done a fair bit cheaper if you go it alone. Rico
  6. You can fly to Bydgoszcz via Warsaw with Lot, however I prefer the train for that journey Other airports not too far away are Poznan and Gdansk, both served by some of the 'budget' airlines. Haven't sorted Bydgoszcz out yet, other than hotel in Bydgoszcz on Friday and Saturday nights. Will probably just fly to Warszawa though. Rico
  7. I am hoping for a track that favours the brave, willing to go round the boards. Not a one line track where everyone is hanging off the fence. Would suit Tomek and AJ (as well as tRick and Crump) down to the ground. Semi final minimum please from Tomek. Rico
  8. Definitely guilty ! His performances in the GPs this season have been a major disappointment for me and doubtless his other numerous admirers. He's had one or two bad meetings in the league, otherwise it's been normal service. He definitely looks down on firepower, whether that's just his machine or missing some fire in his belly time will tell. I'll be very sad the day Tomek is not in a GP. A kickstart in Krsko sounds good though - just please lets have a track with a load of dirt on it. Rico
  9. They got it right actually, though the SGP site shows the table incorrectly. From the FIM Site it states 077.9.2 Ties After the completion of Heat 20 When establishing the order between the riders in the list of Intermediate Classification at the conclusion of Heat 20 and for the purpose of deciding riders qualified for the Semi-Finals, ties will be solved as follows: a) Precedence will be given to the riders (tied on race points) having the most number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th placings (a “0” for last placing is better than being disqualified for whatever reason ). b ) If the tie still persists and involves only 2 riders, precedence will be given to the better placed rider in the heat where the 2 riders met. c ) If the tie still persists and involves more than 2 riders, it shall be checked whether there is a possibility to determine a proper precedence (e.g. 3 riders tied on points: A, B, C: rider A has beaten rider B rider A has beaten rider C rider B has beaten rider C Then the precedence will be: best position for rider A, then rider B and then rider C. d) If solutions a), b ) and c ) cannot resolve the tie, then the lowest riding number jacket will be deemed the better placed rider. Rico
  10. I'd suggest that particular rule came as a surprise to one or two in the final Have to say it's a perfectly fine rule with me and rewards consistency over the 5 qualifying races. Rico
  11. That is your opinion (and my goodness don't we know it !). I am personally already looking forward to seeing AJ blasting round Krsko Rico
  12. Anyone think Subedei's vendetta against Jonsson will succeed ? Give the record a rest, it's wearing extremely thin. Rico
  13. Given your doubting of my ability to behave myself in the company of your daughter surely (after a weekend of impeccable :cough: behaviour on my part) I am surely allowed to wind you up a little Nikki was of course as innocent as she tells you Rico
  14. Bydgoszcz Główny is the main station. I'm sure if you check the forum archives you will find plenty of pieces of advice re this GP. Rico
  15. Nicki was perfectly well behaved yesterday, as pointed out by Tommy. As for the Zielona Gora hooligans I was glad to hear you are safe and well Tommy ! Shame we couldn't meet up. Am glad I opted not to accept your invitation to the cage Rico
  16. I cannot remember such a tame performance from the great man. I hope this is just a temporary blip and he reminds the world of his capabilities in the remainder of the series. However, Jarek did superbly well - I was sporting my trusty Hampel cap for the day . The groan in the stadium when Adams went round him was unbelievable. There was much excitement in the stadium as Hampel was apparently called second by the announcer, but I knew this wasn't true. Might have to pen some words to describe the whole weekend - really was awesome. I'll change the names to protect the innocent though (eh Nikki ) Rico
  17. More likely to see you in Wroclaw Tommy. I don't fancy being frogmarched back to the station with the Zielona Gora hooligans I've got your number and will give you a shout on Saturday. Rico
  18. Same section as me and HenryW Tommy. We will probably be sitting with Mateusz Kulka and his Bydgoszcz supporting chums. Rico
  19. I'll be wearing a dark blue Hampel cap if anyone wants to say hello at the airport tomorrow. Rico
  20. Joanne, QB has my mobile number - I'm sure I'll see you before the Sunday ! Rico
  21. A draw is made to give you your riding position in the GP, otherwise you'd end up with the same 20 races each GP. The draw for the second GP will from memory be made either at Wroclaw or shortly after. Rico
  22. I was just using the 'literal' translation for that (I'm sure it was you that taught me it). It's a lovely phrase and one that will be rolled off the tongue quite often this weekend Rico
  23. Just to add another point to this If you get the 1142 train to Leszno the fare is only 14.50zl second class, 21.75zl first. The 1142 is a 'normal' train, despite the fact the journey time is less than the 'fast' train, therefore you are charged less for it. On the return journey the fare will be more 23.93zl second class, 35.90 zl first as they are 'fast' trains in the evening. Anyone venturing onto an 'Express' train, e.g. 1442 from Wroclaw to Leszno, arriving 1549, can expect to pay 42zl second class and 58zl first class. There would likely be a reservation charge as well. nb approx 6zl = £1. Rico
  24. I've received an e-mail from the club in Leszno. Which I am translating to mean the the match with Zielona Gora on 1 May is from 1700 hours. And giving me a little longer in bed on Sunday morning Rico
