I did indeed see your posting - very good of you to put that up - am surprised I haven't received notification from the airline themselves. I trust one will be forthcoming at some point though You really don't want to be any later than 2127 though as the next one isn't until after midnight - won't be a problem. Rico -

We're in the Radisson SAS wf. Flying out on the Thursday, return flight on the Monday. Ekstraliga matches usually start around 3/4 pm - we'll get that confirmed nearer the time. So in answer to your question I'd suggest 5/6 pm. Rico -

And the price of which is Wroclaw GP trip costs Flights £35 return from Stansted direct to Wroclaw Hotel £110 for 4 nights in a 4* hotel in the town centre. Throw in a return train fare to Leszno of about £10 and a £5 ticket for the Ekstraliga match, a couple of taxis to and from the airport at say £5 each e/w and I reckon thats us about equal. Total £170. How much are you paying then Kev for your 3 night trip ?? Rico -
Just booked up at the Radisson - very reasonable 80 euros for the room per night including brekko. Stayed there last year as well - very nice hotel. Will we be seeing you there this year J-D ?? Rico

Picked them up no problem at the stadium at practice last year - reserved tickets were clearly marked within about 50 yards of the tram stop, just before entering the stadium complex. One for Joanne to elaborate on. From memory there is a bit of cover, however it certainly doesn't come out very far. I'm sure it'll be a balmy spring evening anyway The map at the bottom of the ticket ordering page is which Sektor/Gate you go in, nothing to do with rows, e.g. you may have a ticket in the main stand, sektor 19 - you enter through gate 19 find row x then your seat number. SJW, Sorry I can't be of assistance regarding the VIP seats - far too pricey for me As for a Forum meet-up I'm sure that will be arranged nearer the time. I know quite a few of the people on here who have indicated they are going and hopefully we'll be able to sort something out. Only problem is the likes of Papa Bazarou is only doing a flying visit, in Saturday out Sunday, so it's likely not everyone will be able to meet up unfortunately. I'd suggest, similar to Bydgoszcz, that a meet is arranged for the Friday night. I'd suggest either in one of the hotels or in a bar on the main square - personally I'd prefer the main square as that'll be where I'll be aiming for later in the evening to sample Wroclaw's excellent nightlife. Be warned, if it's anything like the Bydgoszcz Friday night it'll be drunken (certainly by the end of the night !)! Rico -

Understandable Christopher, I've not personally had the need to drive in Poland and tend to use the public transport. Certainly Katowice Airport to Wroclaw is a lot less distance than Warsaw to Wroclaw, however I couldn't tell you about the relative merits of the roads you'd find. Hope you get you and yours sorted out though. Rico -

Christopher, I'd personally suggest flying into Katowice from Luton, get the bus from the Airport to Katowice and then train along to Wroclaw. Don't think that'd take much longer than driving from Warsaw and definitely more relaxing as you don't need to drive. Rico -

I would suggest they are the official outlets for the tickets as there is a link from the official WTS Atlas Wroclaw website. Last year we went for the expensive seats, I think they must have been the 350zl ones, but this year I'm going to go out on the back straight at a much more reasonable 100zl. The exchange rate unfortunately has come down a bit from last year, but that's still only around £17/18 (for the 100zl seats) to watch a Grand Prix - only a couple of quid more expensive than Oxford Just need to confirm with my colleague that he's happy to book and we'll be sorted. Wholeheartedly agree Kev, although they do seem to charge her about 180% of the normal price of beer, from experience Rico -

Addy, One personally would consider Sky Europe who fly from Manchester to Warsaw. I believe BA also fly that route. Alternatively you could travel Liverpool to Warsaw or Luton to Warsaw / Gdansk with Wizz Air. Easyjet also fly from Luton to Warsaw. I guess it just depends what suits the individual. If that was aimed at me Addy, then the answer would be 'of course' ! This will be my sixth Bydgoszcz in a row. Rico -

I would point out Joanne that your note includes dates 17 and 19 September last year on it. Not sure if those particular train times still apply. Rico -

Last year's topic has some useful stuff in it. Or if you don't want to wade through that, try the Polrail site. To avoid confusion probably best to type Warsaw as the 'From' station, Bydgoszcz in the 'To' station then select Warszawa Centralna and Bydgoszcz Glowna from the respective dropdowns. Rico -
Apologies for going slightly off topic, but on reviewing this thread I couldn't believe Mr Hone hasn't made comment on the above posting. Beercellar's even getting her mum involved in the whole sordid affair Rico

From memory it's a good 40/45 minute walk - it's served by buses certainly though, info for which I'd imagine you'd be able to get from the Parken website. We walked there but viewed the walk back as wasting of valuable drinking time and got a taxi, which wasn't too expensive. Rico

Not meant to be mean at all Jill, but if you are happy then I will be unhappy. I'd rather see Tomek on top of the podium gaining his first title (not many chances left for him I fear). I don't think many would begrudge Tomek that accolade. After round 1 of SGP I hope to see 1. T Gollob 25 Rico

On this particular point I don't wish to see you happy Jill. Rico

I've not been to Krsko (hopefully one day I will - normally good racing) but have been to Copenhagen. Lots of different airlines go to Copenhagen, BA, SAS from Heathrow, Easyjet from Stansted and then you can throw in Ryanair which flies Stansted to Malmo in Sweden, but it's only a short trip across to Copenhagen. Skyscanner is an excellent site for checking the budget airlines, particularly if you consider going to the north of Italy to get to Slovenia. Easyjet fly direct to Ljublijana from Stansted. For hotels we used Ibis, of which there are plenty in Copenhagen. Reasonably priced. As for which one to go to, for racing I'd plump for Krsko, Copenhagen is a wonderful ( ) city, with everything you'd expect from a major capital city and the tourism that it brings in. I guess it depends on what you want from your trip. I'd imagine the beer is about 4 times the price of that in Krsko if that makes any difference. Rico

Bardzo dobrze Terry. Keep practicing and we'll hopefully see you putting it into practice at the end of April. Rico
