  1. Nicki Pedersen has had his say http://www.nickipedersen.com/Default.aspx?...amp;NewsID=1541.
  2. One of the things that has been happening a lot when I try to watch meetings on iTVP is buffering. Is this because the server is being overloaded? If so, a bigger server would be great.
  3. When is the next live meeting in Poland on the internet?
  4. They should do what they do in football. If you take part in an official match for one country you can't represent another.
  5. I've been getting a lot of buffering in heats 15 and 16 which is spoiling my enjoyment. It's not as reliable as itvp.pl.
  6. Is that a play-off meeting to decide who the champions will be? Is it the 1st or 2nd leg?
  7. I only put it on at the end of heat 9. It's been okay for me so far. I'd watch live meetings from Sweden and Poland but I never seem to know what meetings are being covered so I think next season it'd be a good idea to have a sticky topic in this section so people can post links to the live meetings.
  8. New team: Jason Crump $50000 Tomasz Gollob $45000 (Captain) Greg Hancock $40000 Rune Holta $30000 Freddie Lindgren $30000
  9. Terrible decision by the referee to exclude Andreas Jonsson, especially when you consider the referee at the Coventry v Ipswich meeting allowed Ben Barker to ride when he was on the other side of the track when the time ran out!
  10. In that case, they should have named replacements for the missing riders when they were putting their squad together.
  11. Did Russia know about this other FIM meeting when they were putting their team together before the World Cup?
  12. The World Youth Cup has just taken place, a few meetings where youngsters take part in races on 80cc speedway bikes. Out of 58 entrants, there were no British riders. Whose fault is this? The BSPA's? The riders? There was a lad in it from Australia who travelled half way around the world to compete in it, yet he hadn't been on an 80cc bike before so the argument that we don't have 80cc speedway in Britain doesn't wash. Are British riders out there willing to travel the relatively short distance in comparision to Australia? I get the impression that a lot young British riders just want to go as fast as they can, so they get two or three 500cc bikes and travel in a van with the words "International Speedway Rider" plastered all over it. Young British riders should progress though the engine sizes 80, 125, 250 rather than jump straight on a 500. In under 15 meetings, you only have to look at the number of fallers there are. It's like they are being fast-tracked. What bugs me is that people say "there's nowhere for kids to practice" when there are tracks like Buxton that can be used almost every day of the year. What's going on at these tracks when they don't have a meeting? It should be used whenever the kids aren't in school. What good is it when you've got guys like Graham Jones and Louis Carr or whoever when you've not got the bikes? (not criticising those two by the way) Do Denmark employ Erik Gundersen and give him no bikes? Finally, we need to stop allowing foreigners to race in Britain below PL level. If they have British parentage then that's all right. They should have to reach a certain level before they can be signed by a club. Using a foreigner in the CL or Academy League is taking up a place that should be for British riders. Get rid of the stupid Rider Replacement rule in the CL. It goes completely against what the league was set up to do.
  13. Did anyone else think Lindgren finished ahead of Harris in heat 19? Looking at the replay, Lindgren's wheel hits the red line first. It's only in the next frame they are dead level.
  14. Someone should print out messages from this forum and show them to the riders. That should fire them up!
  15. There is a half-hour preview show of the World Cup on Sky Sports tonight and tomorrow. 17. She's in Australia. Adelaide to be more precise.
  18. I've managed to track down Garry's niece Bianca. She wrote the following: "I am sorry i dont have the info you need, heard alot of different stories myself so wouldnt want to quote anything untrue. My brother and i are in the works of finding alot of things out about Garry and our family tree,as my father [garrys bro] and grandmother[garrys mum] have also passed its a little hard..i can keep you informed when i know alot more if you would like? ok thanks."
  19. There's a message from his niece on the Hackney Hawks message board saying he has passed away. http://www.boards2go.com/boards/board.cgi?...er=hackneyhawks
  20. Although I wasn't there, overall I thought the choice of music was great and appropriate for what was going on. I can't understand why he isn't used at Coventry. Not too keen on the Black Box - Ride On Time tune but that's just my opinion. Superbart, have you got a tune called Sirius by Alan Parsons Project? It's here on YouTube. I heard it at a Swedish GP a few years ago and Wolves have played it too. A song that would be good to hear before a meeting is . Some other tunes that would be good after a race has finished is: Tag Team - Whoomp! (There It Is) House Of Pain - Jump Around No doubt people will criticise the the tunes I've mentioned.
  21. I noticed on Marek Wojaczek's wikipedia entry (on the Polish version) there is a link to a website where you can write in the Wojaczek guestbook or e-mail him. The address is www.wojaczek.pl.
