  1. No problems with the weather today. Should be a cracking meeting against two good teams.
  2. A tough looking meeting for the Hitmen against the Hornets. Both teams have qualified for the playoffs and are looking for more Trophy points in their quest for silverware. Forecast is good and there is bound to be plenty of action with the Hornets looking for revenge over the Hitmen who won the league encounters home and away.
  3. Dont think it will take place before the cut off
  4. A great win for the Hitmen - well done lads
  5. I can assure you that it is wrong and have told Dale about it, it will be sorted,
  6. Thats incorrect but hopefully will have some news soon.
  7. The sun is out now so shouldn't be any problems. The forecast is for a dry afternoon so its all systems go.
  8. The rain has finally stopped and hopefully thats it for the rest of the day. The forecast is for it to be dry this afternoon so fingers crossed. The meeting is still on at the moment.
  9. It's all terminology at the end of the day because 'work permit' riders are not permitted in the NL anyway.
  10. As Squall says later on, Jade did not ride for Buxton in 2008. In fact he rode for Redcar before moving to Buxton in 2009 after Redcar decided not to run in the CL/NL. I can't comment on his circumstances at Redcar but I can confirm that he did indeed have the correct visa whilst riding for Buxton. The only reason why anyone is querying the legality of Mark Jones' visa, and to my knowledge he isn't the only one, is that it has been stated that he only has a 6 month visa. Unless the rules have changed you can only compete in the NL on a youth mobility visa which lasts for 2 years although you can come and go as you please during that time. Something doesn't add up somewhere as there is an obvious discrepancy between the validity periods of the visas in question. Maybe the rules have changed and that explains everything but it would be nice to know either way.
  11. Morris and Branford both have British passports, Kurtz and Anderson both have patriality so they dont count in the maximum number of Commonwealth riders permitted in the NL.
  12. This is the same argument that Rye used for Tyson Nelson. If you have a look at the borders agency site then it explains it all there. A general visa (commonly referred to as a tourist visa) which lasts 6 months specifically states that you cannot be a 'sportsperson'.
  13. If this is true then he shouldn't even be in the NL as a 6 month visa (which I'm presuming is what is referred to) does not permit you to race. The youth mobility visa lasts for two years and is the one that the commonwealth riders need to race in the NL.
  14. Weather dry and fine. Evans guests for Hughes and r/r for Owen for the Cobras. Cook and Morris ride for the Hitmen as they have no PL match today.
  15. Has been raining on and off but the sun is out now and the forecast is for it to remain dry with temps at 21.
  16. The difference being that Buxton are trying to get a play off spot and this match could be important. Im sure if the Saints were in the same position they would want to track the best possible team for a rearranged meeting. You dont have a squad in the NL only a 1-8 so if you have several riders missing then you can only replace the others with 3 pointers.
  17. Hopefully its second time lucky today as Buxton take on the Islanders in a National Trophy meeting with the first staging falling victim to the weather. Tony Atkin guests for the Hitmen whilst the Islanders are at full strength.
  18. But that is only three points difference when it should be four!!!!
  19. Won't be bank holiday Monday as too many riders missing.
