I was down there today. Add a foam fence and some pop up pits it is pretty much ready to go. This works for the GP’s looks like they have done lots of new tarmac there and is a very tidy main grandstand. best of luck to the incoming promotion.

I think the major issue of another team/promotion running out of Oxford is the impact on the existing promotion. Especially financial impact as the same pool of punters would have to potentially pick and choose meetings between the teams / promotions. However it might appeal to the stadium owners the additional income. Floating punters tend to support the most successful team at the impact of the other teams operating. If it was for a few meetings only while Northampton infrastructure was finished off then Oxford would seem the logical place as it hasn’t a premiership side. Equally KL or Leicester could temporally host but they have existing Premiership sides.

Annoyingly my Sainsbury’s seem to have stopped doing it near me. Tesco has it but sells out by Sunday morning if I haven’t been in to get it. Good sign they sell out just annoying for me!

Same reason for me not renewing. I think at least three times in the last year of subscription I had two issues turn up together. Probably over half the Monday or Tuesday by which point any relevance to the previous weekend was irrelevant. Luckily my local Tesco has them so I probably buy 1 in 2 now. it is a shame as I think the quality of content has improved in the last few years.

Summed up the situation well, much hinges on if Riss puts Oxford over Redcar and that he is fit to race again. Surely those conversations must have happened before Nicholls agreed a deal with Plymouth and Jenkins moved on.

Bubba Bedner was rumoured to be UK bound for 2026. KL would be an ideal track for him. What average would he come in on if he still wants a UK spot?

I agree most weeks it turns up Monday or even Wednesday by which point it’s no longer really relevant. i have not renewed for this reason. need to make digital copy available for paper subscribers to ease the pain as some weeks I didn’t even bother to open the envelope.

Announced today that in October greyhounds are taking the Sunday afternoon slot. Did not say if this was for the winter only but must be risky if it is a hit for next season. Chargers on a Sunday afternoon worked well.

Will be interesting to see what line up turns up for Oxford. Becoming a joke with line ups this season. Ipswich tonight is a prime example. 100% no Gusts as doing GP Challenge.

Was always going to be the case starting around 2.5 points under the limit. Winter team building obviously didn’t go as planned so they had to plug the gaps with what was available and willing to ride. The rider that spent most of the time as No5 last season rode against them at reserve so KL have a rider in an artificial team spot compared to points scoring potential against some easy pickings unlike heat 13 last season that helped deflate the average. Just like Oxford now have a reserve riding in the team. Far from ideal or team or rider but it’s the cards that they were dealt. Can’t fault the chosen seven. Hopefully come May they can jiggle things around.

I wonder with the Oxford connections if Francis Gusts could be a short term option.
