German domination yesterday at the Longtrack GP Challenge in Werlte. The meeting got postponed from saturday eve to sunday afternoon after bad weather forecast. Turned out to be a great decision as the weather was great yesterday. The event was won by speedway kid and local hero Kai Huckenbeck who only rode his third longtrack meeting in his career. The top 3 of the event are qualified for the 2016 GP Series, so new boy Huckenbeck is one of the new names for next years GP's. The podium got completed by two veterans; current GP rider Jörg Tebbe and a very happy Matthias 'Matten' Kröger who secured third after finishing fourth in the final. All the points counted for the final classification. Worth mentioning that after the semi finals 4 riders landed on 20 points before heading into a straight shoot out for the top 3. Provisional dates for the FIM meetings: Qualifications 16.01-17.01 Semi final 1 - tba (FI) 23.01-24.01 Semi final 2 - tba (SE) 30.01-31.01 Challenge - tba (SE) GP's 06.02-07.02 Final 1 - Krasnogorsk (RU) 20.02-21.02 Final 2 - Almaty (KZ) 05.03-06.03 Final 3 - Berlin (DE) 12.03-13.03 Final 4 - Assen (NL) 19.03-20.03 Final 5 - Inzell (DE) Teams 13.02-14.02 Togliatti (RU) European championship 20.02-21.02 Ufa (RU) The Assen and Inzell dates are confirmed already. I'm 99% sure that the Berlin meeting is on the weekend before Assen. Also nice to mention is that Innsbruck is back, and they are going to run a Masters of Spikes event on 19/20 December. I heard that the MOS is going to be a little championship, so more rounds will be added. Maybe Steingaden, Sankt Johann etc. Assen will be the last time by the way (in the current stadium)... -
New German article about the Teterow GP: http://www.speedway-forum.de/index.php/Attachment/983-IMG-20150722-WA0008-jpg/ (same author as that other article) Quick translation: indeed no confirmation of the date. Talks going on with BSI and the Teterow club about possibly staging a GP. They do have three big sponsors ready to finance some of the costs.

Yeah the place is quite dreary. There is a little stand at the homestraight (shown on maps). Edit: I was there in 2013, and took his panorama shot: https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/997999_10151489160201428_1244952359_n.jpg?oh=549d61a7993657da0a7468de6560c08e&oe=564B74F1 Edit 2: Photo from a local newspaper confirming the news: https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/11760145_406106036246447_25670604936720950_n.jpg?oh=bf8a537eab68b9a3bdd36eb457cbe929&oe=561A2AF0

Berge statement: "I owe the truth to the Glasgow Tigers Fans. I did not loose my confidence and still have full faith in my ability to ride - this is not the reason that pushed me to leave the club. During the past few months I was under constant pressure from the management team and I was not in a trusting work relationship, that I believe is an essential part of my sport. I left the team because I could no longer put up with the "ambiance". I will not make any further comment in respect to the sponsors, fans and my mechanic Robert all of whom have always supported and respected me. I would like to thank the fans and the sponsors but also Alison, Laura, Lindsay, Jim, Ian, Jennifer, Georges and I am sure I am forgetting many others. I wish the best of luck to my team mates and to my friend Victor "à bientôt". Believe me they have crossed the Red Line but what is the point of airing our dirty laundry online ! I want the Glasgow Club to keep their honour because of my great respect for you my fans but not for them . Tigers Riders have as safe journey on your way to a long-awaited victory !"
