Hope all the lads get well soon, there seems to be a spate of accidents at the moment. I guess the worst thing for the lads is its so close to the holidays that they wont be able to skive off with their injuries Bet they all drive their parents up the wall during the holidays if they cant be riding their bikes! Hope to see them all soon back on their bikes. Jules

When your offspring decided they wanted to do speedway how did you go about learning about the mechanical side, setting up bikes etc? Jules

It was my flash batteries for which I had a 2 spare sets both of which were in my coat which I had just taken off and left on the other side on the track I should have been born blonde

Ill blame you then for my batteries going flat!

I cant believe that Sam has broken his leg he was laughing and joking in the ambulance (absolutely nothing to do with the gas and air he was knocking back Im sure!!) Unfortunately the photos didnt come out for some reason, anyway I hope he gets back on his bike soon although that looked worse than Sam. GIve him my best Vince and I will send you the photos for your website. Jules

Something I have been thinking about is if there were enough under 15s then maybe it would be better to have a North/South League so there is less travelling for them finishing with a final with the 2 top teams somewhere in the middle. Might cut out some of the travelling and costs and make the parents lives a bit easier. I will also say that I watched the Academy League meeting at Poole which ran concurrently (sp) with an individual meeting which seemed a lot better than when the meetings are added onto the end of other league meetings and your racing the curfew as well as each other. Watching Ben and Josh last night racing CL and PL riders at Wolverhampton goes to show that it must be worth the time, effort and money for the future of British speedway. Jules

Have now uploaded photos from Wednesday. Big apologies if I missed any of the riders I tried to get you all but sometimes I dont! Was very entertaining and hope all the ones that fell off arent too sore today. Hope to see more of these meetings was certainly entertaining. Bog off rather lend you my husband (if I had one). I will be there but as no press pass not sure if its worth taking the camera its so big and heavy and will get in the way of my drinking. As you will be there you can line me up a vodka and coke Mr Helm.

Totally agree Steve and Matt, I spend hours sitting in front of my computer and humping my bloody camera around, mostly for little reward you just want people to look at your photos. jules
