  1. Looking at that press release there are a couple of small errors. The only one worth pointing out though is that Robbie Sauer is now not touring with us this year and either Tuff McBride or Chris Thomas will be named as our number 8. Normally it takes us a couple of meetings to get dialled in but as the boys will be practicing on the track in the afternoon I expect them to be ready and willing to take on any challenge thrown at them. Kings Lynn Fans know how to turn out in their numbers so I hope to see a large crowd cheering on both teams. And as a quick plug - we will be selling our normal touring team goodies - mugs, pin badges, pens, programme boards etc and doing our normal bucket collection to help fund the tour. Please bring along some loose change or coloured pieces of paper with you. See you all on Wednesday evening
  2. What do you now that we don't Steve (both of you!)????
  3. Does that mean you, and Matt dont like chips then! Youve been to a T20 final before mate!!! How do you fancy the One Day International on the Friday Matt - maybe a LONG weekend???!!!
  4. Yer - and it was also a bloomin rain-off at Costa Mesa last week. All I got to see was a track with puddles!!! Really looking forward to this one though - just got to work out time off with all our enforced changes. Will you be getting to any of the Touring team meetings LS?
  5. rub it in why dont you!!!! And do you promise the California weather for this one Steve? Oh no that means morning puddles and a cancelled meeting!!!! DOH
  6. This was posted on Facebook today by Mateusz - Those of you coming to Poland for the Speedway Grand Prix in Toruń this weekend: get ready for heat (32* in the shade on Friday) and probably a 48 hour, general strike at the Polish railway - over half of the services, mostly trains doing short distances like Bydgoszcz-Toruń, may not be running (and this is going to be confirmed tomorrow...). Other than that, it should be fun as always Just for your infoi guys. Wish I was going to be there. Great time last year. Maybe next
  7. Just working out average age - If you take the whole 8 riders the average age is 25.8!! Take out Eddie and Robbie and it comes down to 18.6 years!! This is what the tour is about - getting the youngsters noticed.
  8. Well said Marcus. I'm not sure the BSPA are actually that keen on supporting our GB squads whatever their ages. I did hear a rumour a while ago that they are even considering pulling the senior squad out of the WTC next year! Richard Franklin was one of the squad last night and unfortunately failed to score a point whereas here in the UK he is riding so well. Richard, as with the other boys had to find around £1,500 minimum to fund their trip. Which for young Under 19's is not easy!!! The BSPA will give them each £250 AFTER the event but that's it. What money goes into the BSPA on an annual basis - where does their money come from and then where does it go? We have this discussion year in year out. We need a full and proper development scheme for the future of our sport.
  9. Come on Steve - its 11am Cali time and 7pm over here. Get out of bed and tell our fans the good news
  10. but asking BSI to consider him for a GP wildcard was a little bit laughable! Dont push it Troy!
  11. I'm considering getting some t shirts made up for our next home meeting - FREE THE COVENTRY ONE!!!
  12. I saw some others but not Middlo's. I guess that is where it started! I can just imagine Eddie seeing Chris walk in a set of doors and Eddie shout out - "BOMBER over here" You can imagine what happened next! I shouldnt giggle but it did make me *safrican american* just a little bit!
  13. I thought this was a joke when I read things on facebook this morning. Now I'm not sure!!!! And for those that haven't worked it out - shouting BOMBER in the middle of Heathrow Airport is a mistake made only once!! (If its true of course!)
  14. Bridger has already tweeted that he has had the call and is ready to give 100%.
  15. And just to save you hunting: Travel Plus Tours Tel - 01473 730000 E mail: tours@tptours.co.uk
  16. very very very large and loud *expletive* That really does not go with form for either lad - wonder what went wrong - I just wont ask if they have a spanner in their hand!
  17. How did you guess - I have been following Aleksandr Łoktajew for some time now!!! Seriously - Rory obviously and Edward Kennett - lets hope they aren't fighting for the last qualifying place together!!!
  18. THANK YOU - I'm at work and don't have all my 'favourites' listed!
  19. I saw - Rosco Middlo Colin Pratt Peter Oakes Pete Simmons The Russell Brothers and that's without starting to think about it. Also - our hotel has not yet been given a date but I really do hope it stays in the City. Yes it is about the GP but the PR that can be done using Cardiff is worth a million in the bank for potential sponsors. Take any possible future sponsor to Cardiff and they will take in the atmosphere and will hopefully be willing to write a bigger cheque than if at a flat event where the fans don't participate in the 'day' as much! Cardiff is the showcase even. It would be wrong for it to go.
  20. You not doing Gatekeeper first Matt on the Friday night - normal haunt for Dinner?! Probably pop into the Cottage for a couple as well on Friday night ! Saturday definitely the POW - its tradition and has to be done!
