  1. I shall look out for you and make sure you bring £1 with you and I will sell you an Austin Novratill keyring!
  2. This is always a difficult one! And when we are racing against a premier team (such as Plymouth) we do need to add re-enforcements - so watch this space. BUT - I agree with you about the funding. The tour is partly funded by sponsorship but that does not go very far at all when you take into account we need to hire mini bus and vans etc. So the majority of the tour is self funded by the riders and I agree with you, if they come over here to race, thats what should happen - they should race. Obviously winning is best but it isn't the be-all and end-all of the tour. LIVING THE DREAM is what its about.
  3. Steve is struggling with internet on this trip so you've got me instead!!! Tyson was keen to ride for us this year as was Kenny Ingalls. They both recognize and appreciate the importance of the tour but for Kenny, his recent operation has ended that hope and Tyson has decided he needs to concentrate on getting things right with Wolves. Kenny has traveled with the team where possible but I don't think we will see Tyson at any of the distant tracks. The team (management, riders and crew) are really pleased Tyson has made a good start to the season and wish him well as his season gets underway. Another success of the Dream Team & American Touring Team.
  4. Excuse me Shudders - but the name is Sandie not Sandy!!!! Really hoping it wont be wet like lakeside, it should be a wonderful sunny day. Come on out everyone - it should be a great meeting
  5. Well, the time has come and the Touring Team head to Birmingham for the first meeting. I hope they don't think all their journeys will be this short! It normally takes us a meeting or 2 to get dialled in but lets hope they can get going straight away tonight. I love the look of the Birmingham line up and am really looking forward to this meeting. See you all tonight - lots of goodies for sale so come along and spend some money.
  6. Sorry guys but due to a recent blown engine Ronnie will NOT be riding. But, hey, still plenty to encourage you all to be there. Have you seen the forecast - sun tan lotion at the ready everyone
  7. Danielle, admittedly some of our tour members are slightly older than Colin Pratt , but that is due to the commitments of the USA Under 21 squad. But we are lucky to have Joey Holt and Dylan Black both new to the squad, along with Mikey Buman back for his 2nd tour. Its going to be a great meeting. See you there I hope.
  8. Can you do a write up for all our meetings please Phil, such great enthusiasm. Looking forward to all our tour meetings but this one should be brilliant. Like the look of your team - should be a tough opener for us. May the 'red, white and blue' win on the night!
  9. See Mr Evans, how simple was that!!! I got the complicated version of who is riding where and when!!!
  10. Very sad news. My condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him. Sad news. RIP
  11. Thanks for that. One other thing........... Have you ordered the weather???
  12. Saving those for Shawn McConnell Bryn!!!
  13. Love the sentiment Paul and really looking forward to opening your season but just one small edit please - we are the American Touring Team. We used to be the Dream team but for various reasons we needed to re-brand and are now the American Touring Team. Same quality racing can be expected but new name since last tour in October 2010. Looking forward to the tour, its all getting scarily close now!!!
  14. Austin should be travelling with the Under 21 touring Team and Gino is finishing off school and also you have to remember that these tours are very costly and not possible for everyone every year.
  15. Sounds like it. There WAS a booking which Steve cancelled with the promotion. It just seems that, for whatever reason, all the i's and t's were not dotted and crossed! Maybe next tour we can do Stoke. PLEASE
  16. I am touring with the team and unless Steve is keeping another secret from me - we will NOT be at Stoke unfortunately. Stoke WAS on the cards but for various reasons we are now at Workington on the Saturday and then at Buxton on the Sunday. As for the Under 21 tour - they will not be over till around Easter, so its not them either. Sorry Stoke, no Americans that night - which is a HUGE shame as I have never been to Stoke and really wanted this fixture!
  17. Just heard tonight that you will all be guests of the Nuneaton Speedway Supporters Club on the 5th April. Must come along and ask my question - How do you think you will do against the American Touring Team this year!!!! The Americans arrive on the Monday so maybe a bit of psyching out may be in order - need to see if their jet lag has kicked in by then!!! Seriously - great idea doing the club meeting, you will be welcomed by a great group of people. Good luck
  18. Wellesbourne To Cali would be superb. Im just waiting for Tele-porting to become a reality. I know it will happen cause its the only thing that keeps me going on those long flights - I keep telling myself this will be the last time Im having to fly for this length of time!!!
  19. Wish I was there for a FIRST time!!
  20. all the details here I do think the German Round (5) is the wrong date though. Thats a Monday and is out of order from the others.
  21. See - I knew there was a perfectly simple explanation.!!! My faith in you is restored
  22. I know that you are an honorable chap and if you post I tend to believe what you type. Which is why the above confuses me - are you saying that the BSPA had race suits made and then promptly sold them. And who would want them?? This doesnt make sense, but not a lot of what the BSPA does makes sense. Do you know any more about the suits that you can share? Thanks
  23. Screm, Im hoping that your post is slightly tongue in cheek, but given that attitude the Elite league will be reduced to 4 teams by July 1st. The bottom 4 will say - We cant win the league so were not riding anymore! Its pride and patriotism - we (fans, clubs, promoters and BSPA) need to get that back and support through thick and thin. edited : to make sense!!!
  24. But you didn't break the law by speeding did you Steve!!! We still have laws in this country about that sort of thing you know!!! And of course it isn't a good example to set!!!
  25. Greyhound - this one has me concerned as well. I may end up being a part timer this tour - my knees cant take all those gear changes and body cant cope with lack of sleep at my age! BUT - we have to go where the promoters want us and within a limited time scale.
