Having not posted on here for nearly 20 years, I want to put on record what brilliant news I consider this to be!
As a former Reading supporter right up to the bitter end, I ended up living in Northampton and aside from occasional pilgrimages over to Peterborough (RIP), like many others on here across the country, I had resigned myself to losing speedway from my life. So to get a new team, right here in my adopted home town...?! 🤩
Good to see that Wizzer has moved on from just trying to salvage Reading meetings to trying to save speedway more generally (hopefully less of a losing battle here, though we shall see). A top lad.
Northampton has a big Polish community and heaven knows they do still enjoy their speedway. If it can be marketed properly and they can be attracted down, there's potentially a big fan base to be tapped into. If nothing else, i'll be there cheering them on and cannot wait.
