  1. Is it a Premiership club as I already stated above we aren't talking about Lydd, Iwade of Linlithgow here? This is a club with riders on 3k guarantees but can't clean a room and everyone making excuses that is ok and it's because they are closing down and there aren't enough volunteers.
  2. Not all of those roles are volunteers. If they are at Brum the gtees to riders should have been lower and money made available to pay some of those positions. A track curator being a volunteer at a Premiership club is a very strange concept....
  3. Not at all. Drop Zagars gtee by 50 quid a meeting and that would pay for a cleaner to clean a few areas. Not rocket science.
  4. Volunteers don't prepare infrastructure for F1 events. You are comparing completely different roles. Marshalls in speedway and F1 yes they are comparable.
  5. Why are they volunteers and not paid? It's a top division professional sport. It's not training at Iwade or Lydd. Were there no volunteers this week to prepare the stadium for an event then? If no volunteers turn up do you have to call meetings off? Not sure these excuses make it acceptable but everyone entitled to their own opinion.
  6. Iwade have never been in the top league. Which Danish top league tracks are 'dog awful'? Instead of people wanting the actual issues addressed that drag the sport further down they have a pop at the person speaking out. Same people moan that riders never speak out etc.
  7. Since it was given away by the BSPL 2 years ago. This year Extraliga 2 started organising Thursday matches to take advantage of it rather than only using that day for rain offs.
  8. Doyle wasn't asked to return money just because he was injured. That's incorrect.
  9. This is much closer to the truth than the original post. So many mythical beliefs in the UK about Polish speedway. Experience of technical tracks definitely improves your skills as a rider but not sure tracks being served up like that one at Brum last night are beneficial to anyone.
  10. An engine that went well around Torun will be exactly what you need to get around Perry Barr...... so simple!
  11. Different play off system in Poland this season. Extra meetings for all teams, up to 20 for some. No one is going to be signing in the UK when their team could get relegated etc
  12. You keep saying this but who are they going to get who hasn't been asked already?
  13. Be ruthless how? There isn't any potential number 1 with the slightest interest in riding in the UK.
  14. Any team that has the world number 2 and 4 in their team is pretty much guaranteed 8 heat wins against anyone in British league racing. Not sure how you expect teams to get close to the home team in number of heat wins in that scenario?
  15. Who are you going to get for these riders? There isn't anyone in Europe who wants to ride in the UK who isn't already there apart from maybe Smektala who is struggling big time in Poland. Why do you think Birmingham have been running RR for liglad and Oxford haven't made any changes?!
  16. The problem was in those earlier heats they were gate 4's which wasn't working at all.
  17. Which top quality riders have chosen UK over Sweden who don't need to ride in the UK for a Visa?
  18. Poland is mostly about TV money and a bigger deal has been signed last year. You've got 300k plus tv audiences for Extraliga matches so that's not dying for a while yet. Not to mention multinational sponsors not firms that no one has ever heard of like in the UK.
  19. No it won't, as a whole has a much stronger sponsorship base. Might lose a club or 2 like Vetlanda from the past but then someone from the 2nd division will step up. In the UK, clubs not running or potentially not running next season are Brum, Leicester, Sheffield, Oxford. What's left?
  20. He is riding on Sunday. Confirmed after practice today.
  21. Shouldn't be about ability, should be age. 16-21. Josh Bates was a rising star a 26. There is never any consistency in decision making. Another 26 year old Brit wouldn't be allowed on it. Whole system is a joke.
  22. The rising star scheme in general is a total mess. Jordan Jenkins isn't a rising star and there have been many similar examples. So people people getting worked up about a couple of inexperienced young lads getting a go, who probably won't score and saying it's manipulation is all a bit weird.
