Thought I just say that I got both mags today and found them really enjoyable. The pictures magazine is great with pictures of teams from the 30's to present day of the greats and also not so good sides. Also the history magazine is good with people relaying stories of years gone by.

Well done Grachan for finding that, real good footage for its time. I might be young lad but I have been buying the old magazines so I can get to see and read about the good old days of speedway and must say found that clip real good

i would't mind that as think speedway need a magazine programme like that as you see on sky most other sports have them.

I think I remember someone writing to sky bit back about why can they not show the podium and celebrations etc and Sky said that they could not as it would over run and sadly they could not do that, then what happens last night? The tennis is over run and they let it carry on so not sure what they really meant but hey guess we got to see it in he end. Just hope we can see all the meeting on Monday, unless the live staring competition goes over the time it is meant to before it.

I know it is not Sky's fault if sports over run and mean that they run late but they have 4 sports channels (1,2,3, Extra) so why not have 2 channels with live action and if something over runs then put it onto one of the others?

I see the speedway could not over run and show the podium because of the tennis coming up

I beat if speedway was running late and it would effect a football match they would change the football to another channel or the speedway

I know it would hurt buxton-babe what I meant was he was rolling around hurt fair enough was a hard impact but then a minute later he was running to the phone!

AJ was rolling around hoping the ref would give in and he did not but was wierd to see AJ run to phone, I thought his leg was hurting him

thats good, when the programme come on at the PROPER time they usually talk for few mins before it starts.

So how does everyone think the speedway would go in Britain in years to come. More teams? less teams? more coverage in the media, or just the same? I would like to think that few more teams start up and also more countries start get involved as lower countries like Croatia, Ukraine etc start to bring up more talented riders.

Yeah thats the main reason for countries like that not having riders anymore because of the cost. I know this is going little off the subject but I remember a couple of years ago they were talking to a tennis player who comes from Armenia and he his their top player. It took him back to where he lived as a child and it was unbelievable to think that he would become a top sportsman from his humble backgrounds. Just shows if you put your mind to it what can happen.

It shows how powerful the Soviet was though when people from Uzbekistan could become speedway riders as now it is broken up places like that and Tajikistan etc are very poor.
