Great news I am sure there would be people in the Tamworth area that would support the side, shame the old track went all those years ago.

What time does the gates open?

Seems strange to change the date last minute but then again I guess it is Speedway haha! Does anyone know what the team lineups are? What time does it start? I think Czechs will be the favourites even with Franc and Hynek not in the team.

Cheers FSP I will be looking at the updates through the year once more. Hope Finland do well in the SWC Qualifying, also I hope it is them that will ride at the British round so I get to cheer them on again

Hi guys, I wondered if anyone had any more information on this as I saw on the website all it said was a "amateur meeting" also with Team Viking being there and it was free to watch. Does anyone know what time it starts and also what riders will be there? Cheers

Good luck with bringing Tamworth back, living in Atherstone it would be great to see a team just down the road. I have got some old Tamworth programmes as well from back in the day. Good luck on Friday

I was going to buy my ticket from the speedwaygp website. It put me through to seetickets.com and I just wondered if anyone else has used these and how long it takes for the tickets to come as it is only a couple weeks away now.

I remember hearing Russia wanted to hold one but probably not till 2010. I guess Norway would be a no goer as Holta is now a Pole and there no top riders sadly there anymore.

Not sure as the one after it says it is Italy. I did expect a addition one with Australia but not another one as well.

Be interesting to see where the September GP will be at. Germany will be out of the question, Russia? Norway? I am surprised the Swedish GP is on that track again after this year, lets hope they sort the surface out this time.

I thought it was quite funny in Nicki's interview he said about Kelvin on Sky going on about Crump all the time and he showed them why he is top. Scott seems to yo-yo at the gp's getting a couple of good scores now and then. The way it is going the grand prix will be lucky to have two GB riders next year.

Well in today's Sunday Express it said the team will be Nicholls, Lee, Bomber, Stead and Allen and if they get to the final Kennett will be in the side and maybe Tai.

sounds like a good idea. Problem is the fixture list is pretty much crowded as it is, so maybe they could stop the challenge meetings at the start. The first round could be run during the world cup as the teams taking part could be conference and premier league sides as they would be less effected by the international riders in that. Then the Elite teams go into the hat in the second or third round. Would be interesting and they could make it that the lower league side are at home. Sky might be interested in the idea and put some of the meetings on tele.

Scotty and Holta go through but then again Harris will get seeded probably so what was the point in all of that and also was the gate pick really that fair
