i really wish some folk would leave this lad alone he's a top rider who gives his all sometimes granted its not enough , but you can't fault his effort scotty is at one with his machine which as a motorcycle rider myself i know that it take's something special to be like that one day soon i hope he make's all his knockers eat there sorry words just a few questions for you people who slate racer's how many of you have ridden a motorcycle ???? how many have raced a speedway bike ????? how many have raced at the very top level ???? non, i'd bet , spineless bunch who slag off people who try im sorry but you really make my blood boil ive been there & tried that , it's by no way easy it takes total commitment & dedication to make it as a rider not just the rider but everyone around , family / friend's & sponsors never mind as a gp rider , god only knows what support they need but hey hoo, you won't stop i won't stop defending racer's but ive been there ( amature ) have you ????? nah ! didnt think so just enjoy your speedway , good , bad & ugly one day soon we are going to have a abundance of british talent thank's to club's like scunthorpe speedway who are doing something for the future of speedway with there training program & practise facility's enjoy your speedwaqy it'll soon be winter

pudding replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
the whole team will do great , they deserve to be there & have as much chance as any team , they need to believe they are good enough & have a dash of luck to win , -
ive read in this thread about brands hatch / silverstone etc , how about donnington ? is there space for a speedway track there? i'd have thought ex-long eaton would have looked at it due to it been just across the m1 , they should be no problems regarding noise / parking or public transport ,
-
i do mate, having fun is what it's all about i think it should be me , due to the amout of time ive stripped & rebuilt it , i should be able to do it with my eyes shut ( just like my riding )
-
i ride a weslake on the beach @ mablethorpe , its by no means the fastest but niether am i
-
so you should agree with me that speedway needs spicing up some , every year there are changes with race formats / points limits etc etc , trying to make speedway more appealing to new / next generation supporters , well it hasnt worked that well has it , i just thought maybe 6 lap races might make it less prodictable & more of a specticle , but i do like the wet sponge idea too
-
good idea , wish i'd thought of that
-
i know , but you'd soon get used to it , it just take's a bit away from it being the fasted bikes that win from the gate , and it would entertain the paying public more with 6 riders going for it over 6 laps & im sure a few riders could do with loosing a pound or two
-
it wouldnt take riders long to learn how to count upto six
