It's only fair that Edinburgh get to host the 2nd leg, they did finish top after all and they deserve to have all the other perks that go with that, (bumper crowd/extra cash & more that likely winning it in front of their own fans.

Hopefully the final won't be as close as this afternoon was, my nerves won't be able to handle it. Edinburgh should win it as we're just not good if i am being honest. Palovaara was just a passenger today and we cant expect Sarjeant to bail us out like he did today. Even though the score was close the racing wasn't really up to much, if you gated you had a pretty good chance of staying ahead. Regarding Ht 2, the balls up the ref made really helped us although Andersen was miles behind the Glasgow pair when Ayres fell.

Yeah when the Monarchs were in the city centre at Powderhall, I'm sure Armadale being a lot closer to Glasgow is the problem, but i stand to be corrected

Your totally right but from what i've witnessed this year the owners will do whatever is best for the business. for example, I'm sure they would get more of the hospitality boxes booked out if they were racing at night at the weekend.

I heard way in April/May that Glasgow had been flooded with offers from other riders wanting to ride for us in 2016. I kinda hope we also try and move the race day, Sundays suit me fine but the racing we had at the night time meetings we're much better, i assume thats why the floodlights were put in but i might be wrong. As for who i'd keep and like in the team for next year, Summers and Lawson for defo, i'd love to have Josh back and maybe get Richie Worrall he seems to ride our place well.

Was a bit surprised how bad Hansen and Simota were. I know Simota won Ht 14 but I'm sure i recall him scoring decent points at Ashfield on previous visits.

Only caught the 2nd half of the meeting on the telly last night but well done Edinburgh, Riss was the matchwinner for them but all of the top 4 rode really well and when Masters is back thats an amazingly strong top 5.

Good post and kinda what i was thinking. He is very fondly remembered from his time at Glasgow but that was back in 2006.

i'm trying not too get too carried away but if he rides like he did with us before then yeah that is very potent top 4 we have. Does anyone know where Kauko has been riding recently and how he's been doing ?

Not EVERY meeting, we did get through one Glasgow meeting last week where he didn't do it ;-)

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, tbh i think he had lost confidence you could see it in his riding, wether that was caused by the pressure he was being put under (or as most us probably thought), or from his big crash he had last year i dunno. Real shame though as at the start of last year and from time to time this year you could see he has some real talent.

It would make for the liveliest thread on here anyway. Personally i don't think we're as good as some people think we are.

To be fair The Tigers have only really had a proper Facebook page for about a year and a half, before they just had a Facebook groupand it was linked to the main website and looked kinda bad with fans constantly bitching at each other, so i convinced them get to a proper page, i set it up as well but then they didn't really do all that much with it until now. The content on it now is exactly what i would have done, just look at the interaction on every post the difference is staggering.

Just from looking at the posts on the facebook and twitter you can see that Glasgow have someone who knows have to market a club (at the very least on social media).

i'm not going to attempt to add up averages but i'd like at least Kevin, Kasper, Dimitri & (believe it or not) Victor in the team for next year. I at least wanna see what he can do at reserve. The rest of the team god knows, but i want a bonafide number 1, someone who can pretty much wipe the floor with anyone else in the league, like Edinburgh have with Craig Cook or Sheffield have in Simon Stead.

Kevin would be the first name on my team sheet for next year. On the average he's on now he's a total steal. Close behind him would be Kasper, some amazing overtakes from him today.

The U21 Restaging is apparently now on the 27th Sept. So we're all good for the Edinburgh match.......phew.

A After having read some of the comments of the Tigers Facebook pages i though it was just me who thought it wasnt the best Speedway match.........This one was the pick of the bunch "A fantastic afternoon of spills, twists, nerve wracking absolutely fantastic speedway racing at its very best. What a great meeting. Brilliant !!!!" UPDATE !! ......it just gets better and better. The U21 match in Poland was rained off and is now rescheduled for 14th Sept so we'll be going through the exact same process when we face Edinburgh.

Not the best match i've ever watched but the score did keep it interesting (and mildly amusing)
