That's quite a blow, he had added good points scoring at reserve. Will we be back to Clegg type guests and scores ?
-
So even on this very optimistic basis, that would have resulted in a draw, which I would have been happy with, leaving us as strong favourites for the tie.
-
I'm just using you as comparator.

Well at least Hagonshocker has apologised for being on the wrong thread. Never seen SS apologise for anything ever !

Kings Lynn V Wolves Koc 14th June

That wasn't the case, R/R scored 3 but in essence the only time a Stars rider beat an opponent was in heat 12 when Batchelor beat Riss, so you were were weakened/worse off. -
Perhaps you should remind Shovlar that there is a Poole thread, as he is on every other one ?

Very pleased with our performance, but do feel for you Stars fans, not a good night. Unfortunately the second leg is now redundant. -

I imagine it would be a guest for your number 1 and r/r for the second string. All just hearsay at the moment though -

If we get through to the next round, I would be happy with that draw. -
Teams from the Wolves web-site:- 1. Holder 2. Rose 3. Porsing 4. Batchelor 5. Lambert 6. Wilkinson (guest) 7. Knight (guest) 1. Lindgren 2. Howarth 3. Schlein 4. Thorssell 5. Masters 6. Riss 7. Greaves I think this will be close over two legs, we can forget the earlier Stars match at Monmore. It should help us that the Stars have guests at reserve, but it appears that Greaves is short of equipment and someone was collecting money for him on Monday night. He was in some good point scoring positions but got passed and ended up scoreless. The return of Schlein should add some spice to the proceeding. So I think two home wins and obviously whichever team gets the larger win will be going through. Waiting in the next round are Belle Vue, Somerset and Swindon.

Of course he would, we would have needed to order some new fencing !
-
We had been in control for all the meeting, then suddenly you are only 3 points up. Was just a little twitchy at that point.
-
You were a little bit out with that prediction. To be fair the last two heats gave a scoreline that probably was unrepresentative of the whole meeting
-
You're like a record on constant repeat. Give it a rest. To be fair,2 home matches with the biggest margin being 6 points, doesn't indicate much hope away from home. Perks at reserve, is a good choice and should do well. I think a lot rests on how Danny King rides, never sure what he's going to do.

From the Wolves web-site the teams:- 1. Lindgren 2. Howarth 3. Schlein 4. Thorrsell 5. Masters 6. Riss 7. Greaves 1. Nilsson 2. Riss 3. R/R Garrity 4. Bjerre 5. King 6. Bates 7. Perks (guest) Peter Adams is 'hopeful' that Lindgren will ride. That sounds to me that he has a got a guest standing by. In that case I imagine it would be regular guest Scott Nicholls. Might as well officially name him as number 8 ! Last time the Lions nearly won, so I don't think there will be any complacency this time around. Nilsson rode that best I had seen him at Monmore for a while. However, our side had Skornicki and Clegg in it, and with Schlein and Riss in the side we look a lot better. So I expect 3 points to keep the ball rolling.

The only time my 'gob' will be wide open is when you say something intelligent. However, I know there is no chance of that ever happening. -

Looking at the scores again. Josh G was disappointing, poor management decision to choose him. But just 1 more point from Masters or Thorssell would have been enough......................... -

Andersen and Kurtz in heat 15 will probably do the business for you in heat 15. We might get an unlikely point. -

That's what I would have liked, but who knows about rider availability. Perhaps many riders were in Sweden last night and couldn't be bothered to fly back for a guest booking. Their right to refuse a booking. -

Nick Morris would be the best guest we could get. However as Scott Nicholls was chosen for the rained off King's Lynn and rained off Poole home meetings, you do have wonder about the ambition of the management. Give them a little bit of an excuse for the Poole match as virtually all teams were riding. Somebody like Morris in, and I think we could run Poole close. -

Not sure about that. If you could get someone like Nick Morris, who on current form, would almost be as good.
