  1. Im not sure how Sheffield can strengthen as we are currently over the 42.50 average limit unless there is something in place that we can drop Jan and replace Josh upto his average which would mean we can replace Jan with a rider upto 6.54... Im confused though how this could happen as Jan has ridden for more than the 28 day temporary replacement period.
  2. If Holder couldnt ride for Australia in the Speedway of Nations why would he be allowed to ride in Cardiff ?
  3. I was more intimidating at the home fixture as Newcastle, Redcar and Berwick have not got riders who go well at owlerton hence the one sided meetings...
  4. Not just the lack of fixtures but also for me a few teams that will not be competitive.. I make a 80 mile round trip to Sheffield and I'm not making the effort to watch redcar and Berwick, already avoided Newcastle and redcar already.. I also miss 3 meetings in August due to holidays so pretty fed up this year already as I've been to 3 league meetings and steadys testimonial..
  5. What a shambles of a meeting and i can only feel sorry for the poor folks with season tickets who have paid for this, I certainly wont be wasting my time and money. one 7.95 average rider and a 5.95 then the other 4 riders averaging 4 or below. Surely in the interest of the paying public and speedway in general this meeting should be called off and rearranged when redcar will be more competitive. Yes i like winning but not at all costs as anyone who goes tonight will probably never return.
  6. My understanding was it was a 28 day facility but looking at the new averages with everyone increasing there starting average we do not have enough points to bring Josh back in, I think we can only swap now on the current averages, please feel free to advise if I'm incorrect
  7. I would have swapped Jan and Todd around Jan has heat 9 and 14 which we look very vunerable with. I actually think if Campton goes well we will lose this meeting.
  8. Spread for round 2 Czech GP Prague Saturday May 26th start time 6pm UK time Hancock 8 - 10 - £40 more Zagar 6 - 8 - £20 More
  9. Warsaw GP Saturday May 12th- start time 6pm UK time Doyle 10 - 12 - £30 more Kasprzak 6 - 8 - £30 more
  10. Simon Stead makes perfect sense.... Fairly local, Knows the Bates/Machin promotion, Also was heavily involved in the Vaculik deal...
  11. Howarth, Kurtz, Wright, Bates, Bjerre, Shanes & Smith
  12. I sat laughing to myself whilst reading the press release about media and keeping fans informed then advising we going to tell you nothing for a further 3-8 weeks... great PR
  13. That was my thought for last 3 but i believe Howarth, Kurtz and Shanes fits also ??
  14. Looks a decent side... would be very happy with that
  15. Are we going to build very top heavy team with reserves that would be ok at home but with new rules on tactical moves we have big hitters away Promoters have also listened to fans’ feedback and have scrapped the tactical ride for double points and rolled back the years by bringing back the traditional tactical substitute when a team is six points or more behind. This applies between Heats 5-14 excluding Heat 8. Away meetings we keep it close with 3 heat leaders but have the option at 6 points down to replace a reserve with a 8 point plus rider as we would have 3 then hit teams hard in heats 13 and 15.
  16. Well thats unexpected.... Im guessing a rider came available who changed the team building options Happy with it though
  17. Just seen Nathan Greaves has been told he is not in Ipswich plans.. would be happy with Nathan at reserve with Georgie
  18. Right its sorted for 2018 : Josh G 9.47 Dan Bewley 5.95 Josh Bates 6.54 Kyle Newman 6.10 or David Howe 6.18 Kyle Howarth 8.62 James Sergeant 3.33 Georgie Wood 2.31 For me every rider would maintain there average but i feel 4 could possibly put a point on there starting average
  19. We have only released Lasse as josh and Kyle are committed.. So far we have : Josh G Kyle H Georgie I would then assume Josh B Next it comes a choice of Todd or Jan After that its anyones guess.. If you looking at lower average reserves : Sergeant for me is a good shout especially if the starting regulations help.. Robert Branford? JPB Middle order : Lewis Kerr Kyle Newman Paul Starke Charles Wright
  20. But that rules out All premiership clubs , surely his tweet would have been need a club championship only ?
  21. I can understand Sheffield going with Josh & Kyle, Best mates and ride together well plus they will retain there average , Not sure Lasse would be as reliable although was awesome last year and once he got dialled in at Owlerton he was nearly untouchable. Biggest shock is it looks like the Bates have also released him from Leicester, i would have thought that maybe if they couldnt accommodate him at Sheffield they would have given him a sweetener and got him at Leicester
  22. At the latest averages there is 8 teams in the Premiership and only 7 riders exceeding 8 pts, whats the issue ?? any riders who have previously ridden in the uk or new riders could be given an assesed 7.50 which gets around the issue of keeping top riders out of the top league
  23. Whats the best Polish GP for easiest to Travel, stadium and racing ??
