Peterborough V Somerset Koc Qf - Sunday 3rd July
Najjer replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
.... And we're still putting 60 past some teams home and away! -
What a staggering result tonight at Plymouth! Even with the poor season Brady seems to be having, to turn them over like that takes some doing. Jake Allen has been great all year but his form seems to have taken an even greater leap over the past few weeks. Great to see. Onto the semi finals of the league cup we go....

Somerset V Peterborough Koc Qf - 28th June
Najjer replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Shows how out of touch I've become as I didn't even realise we were riding tonight. Unfortunately I'm already out tonight so won't be in attendance. Fingers crossed it stays dry and the Rebels win big. -
They went on to ride for them in PL after that too.

Should Ex Riders Get Into Speedway Free?
Najjer replied to Grachan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If I become a speedway rider tomorrow, and then retire on Saturday... Can I get in free every week then too? -
I'd agree with that.

Now who doesn't know the rules?

Does beg the question why this isn't always the case then.... -

Brady Kurtz At Plymouth
Najjer replied to Sherborne Green's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The same Charlie Gjedde that was originally in a Plymouth team that was unsustainable? I hope it works out for Brady and he pushes on and the fans turn out for him and the rest of the team. -

You are entitled to suspect what you like, but my opinion isn't based on spite. If it was, why would I of wished him well? I think the reason he wasn't at Somerset was a combination of as you say he didn't particularly want the PL originally and also a huge number of fixtures clashes so I'm led to believe. -
Brady Kurtz At Plymouth

Care to explain how? I was referring to riding for Somerset, where he didn't reach the heights that he did at the start to mid season form. -
Brady Kurtz At Plymouth

Good signing for Plymouth, but shows a complete lack of ambition from Brady to return to the Premier League a few months into the start of the season. I understand he hasn't been massively impressive for Poole and I wonder just how much the Darcy Ward accident is effecting him after his form tailed off at the end of last year too. Hope he manages to turn it round as he promised so much whilst riding for Somerset. -
Somerset V Plymouth - Friday 20th May - League Cup
Najjer replied to womble53's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You only have to look at Greaham's picture to see the reason it was called off was because we got 10 points ahead! It was always going to happen once it started spitting (not torrential rain), Plymouth had nothing to race for and nothing to lose other than riders to injury and Somerset needed to win by 10 points. So everybody wins.... Except the fans who have travelled from wherever they have, then parted with around £20 each for 10 races and 1 procession. -
Somerset V Plymouth - Friday 20th May - League Cup

If that's correct, that makes the earlier posts about fans losing out even sadder. This is just another reason why the sport is in the mess it's in. That said Barker and Kurtz clearly weren't interested in carrying on, whilst Jack Holder and Stefan Nielsen were obviously revelling in the conditions. -

What's strange about that? Some people have to get home and I can't imagine their first port of call is to rush onto the BSF. For what it's worth, complete farcical ending with Plymouth not wanting to ride and Somerset gifted a 5-1 to get the 10 point advantage they need for a 3 point win tomorrow. As per normal it's the fans who lose out, the usual get to heat 10/11 and call it off. We'd barely had any rain and the track was far from being bad. Whilst at the meeting? Why would anyone follow the meeting they are at on the updates?? -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Najjer replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Nothing to do with understanding how rules work - I'm just saying that Scunthorpe have been stupid! What would be even better is if Holub goes and signs for someone else on a 3.00 and starts racking up the points! -

Najjer replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I said the same - seems beyond stupid if you ask me. -
Tungate has been sensational. I've only seen him get beat once in the 3 meetings that I've seen him. When he doesn't make the start it doesn't take him long to hit the front at home! I think from his interview the other week, when asked if he misses the Foxhall track, his straight answer of "no" spoke volumes.

Ben barker at no.1 for Plymouth? Christ, I hope your sake he is better than he was last week as he was nothing short of awful. This should be reletively easy for the Rebels. Saturday will be abit more tricky however! -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Najjer replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If so, what a bizarre choice to keep him in the side when he was injured, wait for him to come back and get a 3.00 average... Then sack him! Bizarre IF that's the case. -
To be fair, they haven't got much to lose have they? Greenwood has something about him. I'm not entirely sure what, but there is something there.

Somerset V Glasgow Pl May 13th 2016 @ 19-30
Najjer replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Don't think there is any worry about Starkey goings the same way that Leigh Lanham did. Lanham did a job last year but Starke is riding like a proper heat leader at the moment home and away. On another note, crossways is a fantastic pub! Cracking carvery too, think it won South West pub of the year or something like that? -
....and even they look look awful.

Workington V Somerset Plkoc 14/5/16 7pm
Najjer replied to Comet Dan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It sure is - I'm happy to admit and I don't think I'm alone in this, that I never expected this team to be as good as it's turning out to be. But not only is it just winning, it's probably the most entertaining team I can recall us having and that takes into account the year we had Grajczonek, Doyle and Morris too.
