What a performance and what a result this is for the Rebels. I think this will make people sit up and take notice of us for sure. Charles Wright has been sensational this year so far for us and Swindon, and still a lot to offer from Starke to come we have a mighty strong top 5 if Tungate can remain consistent. Wilson Dean has surprised many including myself and looks a very handy reserve. I feel for Zack and I'm sure in the coming weeks he will soon be banging on the points that many expected of him at the start of the year. Sublime from Grajczonek and Allen too. -
I hadn't even seen that until you posted that, I just assumed we had a league match this week but obviously not.
-
What is there to talk about? It's nearly the end of April and so far we've only had one official home match, because of the weather and Plymouth's Hokey Cokey situation.
-
Exactly - the costs to get in at Somerset is now £15, plus £1 to park and £2.50 if you want a programme. That's alot of money week in week out. It's no wonder teams like Eastbourne, Mildenhall, Stoke etc etc dropped down to the NL and have stayed there ever since. Completely different. The example you've given is pitching a speedway event to speedway fans. Pitching speedway as a sport to Joe Bloggs off the street who has never been before is something completely different!

Tactical Ride - Premier League Cup

Technically no rules were broken, so I see no reason as to why it should. It's bloody stupid having double points in one competition and not in the next though! It either has to be all or nothing! -

Don't ask - I'm with you on this, it's bloody ridiculous. -

I wasn't there, but from that view point you give the impression that nobody can overtake as they might get in the way a little bit. We should of had Starke and no idea where Gjedde was for Plymouth. Apparently TRs are allowed but somebody just cocked up the rule book and haven't bothered to update it! -

Our match against Plymouth was only a Challenge match, not an official fixture. -

Wilson-Dean was good value on Friday too - A pleasent surprise so far as I didn't think he would live upto much at PL level. He's certainly got something about him though. So looks like we're going to be running pre-season group matches probably well into the summer then.... -

I don't even know where to begin with that... You apologise to SCB for saying that and then immediately go on to deny saying it! Do you actually believe the $hit that you come out with? -

When the going gets tough and you need a big performance towards the end of a meeting, Richie will go missing.... -

What a ridiculous statement that is. Rye House seem to be the ones who have followed the rules so far. -

That reads perfectly acceptable to me - that TRs are not allowed. If they are allowed though, someone needs shooting for writing that! -

Well I enjoyed that yesterday even with the one sided match that took place. Only Doyle, Grajczonek and to a lesser extent Wright who I thought was unlucky on a few occasions put up any resistance to Poole. Why do they persist on using a different format to the PL though? There is no need for it anymore with the current draft riders in place. Tungate and Morris should hang their heads in shame, Morris especially who was pathetic. Poole should breeze to another league title though, especially once Brady gets going. -

Excellent news, many thanks for that. Certainly beats last year when I got half way there for it to be called off! -

Sounds good to me on the weather front! Looking forward to this, it's like a homecoming of former Somerset riders!! I'll go for 53-37 to Poole. -
Very interesting - but at the same time, I can't see how that would of helped Plymouth survive. If anything, it would of made it worse for them to run on a Thursday and incur even more losses! Interesting that the figures surrounding Barker have been made public. Why oh why did they go back and sign him for a second time if that's the case? Not to mention people like Mikkel Bech and Charlie Gjedde who were bound to cost a hefty sum of money. It stinks of poor management to willingly make something unviable.
-
Is there more to this than meets the eye? I wonder why they've knocked it on the head when Somerset are due in town who must surely bring the biggest amount of travelling fans to Plymouth. Basing figures on an open meeting with a poor line up is nothing short of stupid. Barely anybody is interested in these meetings.

There could be a slight delay in signing Holder to get his new sponsorship processed but Kurtz doesn't need a work permit.

What a shock and a mess. I used to love my visits down to Plymouth, hardly the most glamorous speedway set up in the world but a great track and a real sense of being on the action with the viewing facilities. Let's hope this doesn't go the same way Newport did after the Mallet's left there, as it has a very similar feel to it!

Not for me - I've got other commitments this week and then I'm away next week so I won't be at the OTA until the Rye House LC match!
