  1. If ever you needed proof that you don’t need an overtake for it to be a great race, that was it. What a ride from the young Pole against his old club.
  2. Difficult one to call that - I actually think Woryna has got past him and Wozniak locks up mid turn meaning he then collides with Woryna. Could of gone either way but probably the right call to exclude Woryna.
  3. He’s still making hard work of it, hasn’t made a decent start yet. As he found out in the first two weeks, it’s a lot harder to come from the back against harder opposition.
  4. Lambert supreme! Stunning ride that after a few hard moves by Kasprzak
  5. Yep, especially as they are already without Lebedev. Can see Lambert taking 7 rides this afternoon, if the team manager isn’t as inept as he was in their last meeting.
  6. Batchelor dropped.... not been a good start to the season for him!
  7. Just for confirmation, the no.8 can replace any of the 1-5 at any point during during a match, but they can’t replace the reserves can they unless they are 6 points behind?
  8. ZG fans livid with Lindback. Who can blame them too. You have to wonder why teams continue to sign such enigmas like him and Kasprzak to name just two.
  9. Even more bizarre for not declaring Kurtz at 4 and Lidsey at 8 and just giving his rides to Lidsey or Kubera.
  10. Yes, on a delay at 6:30 before the Zielona Gora match which is being shown live at 7:30
  11. What a game changer that could be - presumably he will be straight in for Bewley. If he finds some of his old form this could make Wroclaw title contenders.
  12. Great news - you have to feel symphony for Premier Sports and cut them abit of slack as they’ve been dealt a bit of a headache in only 1 out of the so far scheduled 6 live matches taking place on Fridays since the season started. I know Sky sports used to use their own camera crews etc for filming the Elite League as it was then but that was one of their biggest pet hates when meetings were called off, causing them great expense and a headache with the scheduling on the tele. There isn’t many sports that are dictated to the weather quite like speedway is other than probably cricket.
  13. Zielona Gora and Grudziadz has the makings of a cracker I reckon. Zielona will be looking to bounce back after taking a spanking in their last match and I quite fancy Grudziadz as being a dark horse over the course of the season.
  14. Interesting that the planner now shows live speedway (although no mention of the teams) at 7:30 on free sports on Saturday - looks like they have taken note and now amending their schedule as we speak.
  15. They have now replied again saying they are still waiting for a change to the schedule, so as far as they are aware the meetings are still taking place today. It’s abit like they are trying to convince me I must have my information wrong but there we go Keep your eyes peeled for that one changing still then....
  16. I have had a reply: Hi Aron, thanks for your email As per the information we have, Leszno v Lublin was scheduled on Premier Sports 2 channel at 21:30 pmand Zielona Gora v Grudziadz is scheduled on the same channel at 19:30 pm Which is bizarre because that doesn’t seem to add up to the listings for either Friday or Saturday. Currently on PS2 on Saturday night Is live nascar. i will emailed back again to try and get some clarity on this one...
  17. I have emailed them - will keep you updated on whether I get a reply.
  18. I only went to Reading in their last season when they dropped back into the then Premier League. I seem to recall going there 4 times that year with Somerset for a challenge which we got thumped in, won in the League Cup, won in the league (which I think was the last ever match at Smallmead?) and in the KO Cup on a very hot and sunny afternoon. Jason Doyle romped to a 21 point maximum in what I still regard as the best performance that I've ever seen, going from last to first in the space of a lap off 15 metres in heat 14 for an 8-1 with Matthias Kroger. Ahhhhhh they were the days.....
  19. Not having much luck with Friday matches - that'll be one out of six now that has gone ahead on a Friday as planned.
  20. Interesting that Wroclaw are sticking by Dan Bewley - Do they have others available in their squad to replace him if needs be?
  21. Lets be honest, using the term 'sports stadia' is a very loose term for most of the UK's speedway venues. I can't see there being any problems with crowds being able to attend speedway in this country in August. The biggest problems to face is actually getting enough people to attend to make it anywhere near viable. People who have been shielding and classed as vulnerable won't be returning in their masses I wouldn't of thought. The second problem is having enough riders to make it possible, not without a complete restructering of teams in the top two divisions. In conclusion, I think speedway will be able to restart this year - I just think it'll be financial suicide to do so in this country.
  22. Lambert had so much speed that I actually think he runs off his line unintentionally as he quickly corrects it and turns right around the start line. Sadly it was too late before he made contact with Lebedevs. There is no way that Lambert has intentionally turned left and cut across him there.
  23. Shamek is a former GP rider too. He just seems well down on power and majorly low on confidence to when I remember him a few years ago. Getting replaced in his last two rides last night won't of helped that either! For what it's worth, I love the ruthless forceful nature of Polish speedway. Every race feels like it means something, you rarely see anybody bottle out of a move over there so the odd crash and spill is to be expected as there is not an inch given.
