Fighting The Urge...
mouncers monkeymask replied to Gresham's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Why post something so sarcastic ? why not just say why you disagree with his point . -
Why lie to start with and blame the weather ? When most people know it's the track , makes no sense and just shows them up as amateurs

after reading these posts thank god fans don't run speedway , seems some think when his parents emigrated to oz he should have told them I want to go back to the uk at the age of 3 !, some gonna boo him at the Cardiff GP even though he's this countries only chance of having a speedway world champion for the foreseeable future , best British rider but shouldn't be in our World Cup squad because he isn't riding in the British final ! Don't see the moto GP boys or Wsb boys riding in the BSB , don't think the get booed at the British rounds . If British riders were as good as Woofy then they would probably be making the same decisions as him , fact is he's light years apart from them . We should celebrate we have a British multi world champion and the fact that he is a multi world champion gives the sport a higher profile than riding in the British final does in fact him not being in the British final has raised the profile more of our sport than him being in it would

whats a rider to do then if he can't get a premier league reserve spot but wants to keep racing ? if riders like Simon want to keep racing they should be allowed to race in the NL happens a lot over the years that because of the averages they're forced to pack in -

if MJJ had done well in the gp qualifier he wouldnt have had to worry about getting a wildcard , fact is he scored 5 zero's and didn't qualify -

If MJJ gets a wildcard for the GPs after finishing last in the GP qualifier what is the point of having the GP qualifier ? -

whats a rider to do if a PL team drop them in favour of a foreign rider ? Retire or take time out ? I think any rider like in Simons case should be allowed to drop down to keep racing , a lot of young (under 25) have taken the chance to progress and have a go at PL racing then get dropped and be forced to pack up . For several years riders were forced to pack up or sit it out for a time because they had improved their average on the previous year and couldn't be fitted back into a team and lost from the sport , at least by dropping into the NL it gives them a chance to keep sharp and gives some of the NL riders a chance to beat someone who would be considered a big scalp -

I rode in a junior league match in the mid 80's at Poole against a lad called Brian Hussey ( think that was his name) and he had black leathers that were designed with a white collar and red hanky to look like a dinnersuit think he had some skeleton ones too
