  1. Wackie, but thanks to polish speedway "headquater" Brits can (and they do) ride in polish league as a U-21 riders. For polish youngsters it is not a very good situation, as they should ride with the best riders as well in league, but it is great opportunity for Brits. Not only Brits of course. Look at the 2007 U-21 final line-up. Loads of finalists started to ride in polish Ekstraliga last year... Many of you think about e.g. Zabik as a great chance for Poland. So I can say that many of my friends think the same when talking about Woffinden or Auty.
  2. Exactly. I saw him few times on SKY and I was more than suprised as he was different mate. Since this year SWC final he started to play "hero", showing no respect to nobody. I personaly hate that kind of behavior. But not everyone can be Greg Hancock. All best!
  3. From my polish point of view. 1. If you find Zabik as a material for SGP, you should check what happened to Adrian Miedzinski after he finished 21. They both have similar skills, and both had way easier way to get to the first squad (their fathers were speedway riders and also were coaches in Torun). Zabik owns great equipment. Many of youngsters in Poland cannot afford that much so he beat them often. But... I saw him many times and he has never passed nobody while I was watching. In my opinion he is just good gater. Simply look at this year result of PL Golden Helmet final or PL individual championship semi-final... Nope, not him I say. 2. KK. He is gifted, no doubt. But if someone knows the Gollob's career beginning, will understand why KK will face (and facing now) loads of troubles. He simply cannot lose. And it is not a fact that makes a benefit for him. Week ago he made Jagus fail after heat simply because... he won and score max and KK did 7 or 8 pts. Kasprzak will have to pay some fine but even Leszno supporters say that there should be suspension for him. He simply is a part of "Kasprzak gang", and they take no prisoners... The atmosphere around them in Unia Leszno is getting... unpleasant. If KK wont change he will struggle the same problems that T. Gollob had to struggle. All against one. Kasprzak is to smug. They all are. This will cause him troubles for sure. Look at those footages and judge yourselves. Is that a proper behaviour? Leszno - Torun 05.08.2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmTSwGsDVoI Czestochowa - Leszno 22.07.2007 http://nieznajomy70.wrzuta.pl/film/s72F6eLSi7/ 3. We have some good youngsters but there really is a gap in blocks aged 21-23. Lack of candidates. Kolodziej struggles, and many people thought he will be our polish big gun. Remember this names: Piaszczynski, Szczepaniak, Lampart, Kielbasa, Janowski. Who knows, maybe in few years... Still cannot get over Cegielski loss... He was such a great rider, person, mate...
  4. Yeah, this week Thursday... This decision will start "riot", I guess. It's racing-day in BEL, right? Both teams will have problems with line-ups.
  5. Apart from results... 16 yo (birthday week or two ago) Maciej Janowski (WTS Wroclaw) had his official debut in Wrocław - Rzeszow match yesterday. He passed polish speedway rider certificate exam only last week! In his first heat he finished third scoring nicely 1 point, after he out-distandced Messing (50 mtrs behind) and lost after nice fight with Les (few meters) and team-mate Sitera (1st from gate). Though he is only 16 eyes of many are focused on him. I am telling you, he is helluva gifted rider. I am glad that I saw his 1st heat live.
  6. Some correction... Wrocław will probably do sign Hans Andersen as he has very strong group of local supporters behind and also because of the fact that in next season there will be permission to type 2 foreigners in Polish line ups again. Wrocław probably will sign 2 Danes: N. Pedersen & H. Andersen. Grand!
  7. I hope TR will be able to finish like the greatest sportmans in history. As world champion. This situation reminds me Tommy Knudsen and Hans Nielsen casus. Tony is speedway Rocky Marciano. I wish him all best, hoping that injuries won't cross his way in 2007. I'm very pleased that I was able to see his ride so many times in my life. Tony is definitely Ivan Mauger of our times. He helped speedway to make 100 steps forward. Wish him all best!
  8. I think PePe Protasiewicz should be given one more chance to fight in GP. The last one. His weak results in the past were caused, in general, by that strange KO GP system. Many great riders couldn't get along with it. Besides, he's really powerfull fighter recently. I think he deserves PWC much, much more than Kasprzak. And don't get me wrong (I'm from Wrocław), after season like this, PePe deserves PWC even more than Jarek Hampel! Kasprzak had few chances to show up his skills in previous GPs, and... We all know... He is very weak when the high pressure comes into play. KK thinks only about "wins". Not about how to reach them on the track. Besides, there won't be any coin tossing in GP next year... Youngs (like Kołodziej or Kasprzak e.g.) still have to learn more, and one year more - outside the GP - does not make a huge difference for them. In PePe's case it does. I suppose that PePe won't be so determined to subordinate whole season, to prove that he can be team leader in 3 best leagues, anymore. I think that youngs should prove their skills when they lost their U21 privilege in Polish Ekstraliga. I think that the new GP system is made for riders like Protaś as well. Last pro for PePe: Ekstraliga 2005: PePe (2,256) - Hampel (1,900) Elitserien 2005: PePe (2,205) - Kasprzak (1,883) (But my nose tells me, that PWC will go to Kołodziej... "Chelsea" Tarnów - Trzebinia Refinery rider...)
  9. Here's some other information I've found on the web, and those are especially believed to be true. Although Sergei is breathing by himself since monday, he's put on the respirator. Initial examine didn't bore the possibility of brain and spinal cord damages, but doctors still cannot carry out all (precise) examines in view of Sergei's overall condition. In the nearest future Sergei awaits a brain bruise surgery and some lung ops (first precise sifting is necessary). Probably Darkin has also broken 8 ribs, and broken pelvis. In spite of all those horrified facts, it is outstandingly consolting that there is no need to be worried about Sergei's life at present moment!
  10. According to the information given on one of the Polish speedway sites, Sergei's condition is stable. Although Darkin recovered his consciousness on monday for a while, doctors are keeping him in a (as they call it) state of "artificial coma". It's all because doctors want to avoid (once again I try to follow them) "pain shock". As far as I'm concerned, coma is the best way to natural and fast recovery, after that kind of injuries. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping that everything is going to be good...
  11. But we still don't know nothing about that Ukrainian youngster Karpow. First rumours were that he has broken backbone. Does anyone knows something?
  12. I don't know how to thank You. That one is marvelous! I was very happy seeing that this one comes from the '82 World Final which is one of my favourite contests! Thanks again!
