I would like to see each rider given 1 flying lap before the meeting starts. -

That's correct James,,,, the most important person involved in this meeting could well be the trackman. Let's hope for once its done in our favour, forget pretty speedway, this is a must win and the track must be doctored in our favour,,,,, let's get inside batch head and screw with it. You know it makes sense Bob. Unfortunately I don't think anyone involved with Ipswich actually thinks like that, so a gating contest is on the cards -

Mmmmm, yes and no for me,,,,, it's supposed to be a sport not an entertainment, and there is no reason why massive stuffing can't be entertaining. In say rugby or football would the fans get bored of stuffing their opponents? -

I would suggest a demolition job is more likely when you look at the past few home results for the Witches. -

Not so sure having a big home advantage is so bad, as teams that normally have a big home advantage are not so good on their travels. We changed our pool tables cloth to one that isn't that well liked to gain a home advantage as we aim to win all matches by the biggest margin possible. Strangely though, winning by big margins isn't seen as a good thing in speedway. -

That's very true, hadn't thought of that, okay my way wouldn't work in speedway. -

But we get whatever we get, we don't get extra for only just loosing, or more for drawing away,. I like that that way of scoring, and I think it would work for speedway, you might not but I do, as I don't like your way, the current way, still sucks a fat one to me. -

Shouldn't it be the racing that keeps it interesting till the end? -

Never watched cricket, I play in a pool and darts league and points are earnt by how many legs or frames your team gets, to me that would work for speedway, you get what you score. And that's home and away. -

Is there any other sport that awards the loser points? It's to keep the meeting alive people say, are there any other sports that do something to keep the match/game/meeting/race alive? Certain things about speedway completely suck in my opinion, and the scoring is one of them things. -

Do you really think anything will be done to the track to help us? I've been waiting many years and watched many crucial meetings slip out of our grasp, for the reason they never do anything like that. Rohan Tungate and Somerset a prime example -

Ipswich vs Poole 29/08/19
Baldyman replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's all up for debate what is good and what isn't. I like speedway racing, where the rider behind has the chance to make a pass because he or she is faster and has the skill to. Last week was not one of those meetings, just look at anyone that tried any move round the outside, they went backwards, that's not speedway racing, that's follow my leader and hoping a gap opens up on the inside so you can shove it through. It's obvious there wasn't any chance of passing on the outside, what was done about it? Nothing. Luckily I'm not always half full and see positives in everything, I can actually say what I feel about what I see. If I think it's good I will say, if I think it's bad I will say. Maybe it's just me, as they only seem to put trash racing on when I'm there, or maybe I'm now spoilt having watched speedway at the Nss. Who knows. I just want to watch some decent speedway at Foxhall more often than I do. Please put a track together where the riders can race on it where and how they want to. -
